    Pros

Challenging and great environment to grow the skills and no complacency whatsoever. What you put in is what you get out.

    Cons

If one don't know clearly why and what on the engagements, one may not enjoy as much depending on which area one is working on. I had this problem myself in the beginning but now it is much clear.

    Vice President in Stamford, CT

    I worked at Point72

    Pros

Great benefits. Good and fair pay. Nice artwork. The office and bathrooms are cleaned almost hourly. I believe the air is filtered through 25 HEPA filters, and then once more through diamond dust before entering the trading floor area, as a breath of heavenly angel air.

    Cons

Difficult personalities to deal with. No opportunity for advancement. The main focus is money (obviously) but took steps of cost-cutting way too far. Who wants to work for a hedge fund who's drastically cutting costs - costs that affect the livelihood of its employees in a material way, such as decreasing healthcare benefits and increasing prices in the cafeteria.

    Advice to Management

They are very very good at what they do. The best in the world, really. Make as much money as humanly possible, and keep people just happy enough to keep doing the work for them.
