    I worked at Polaris full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Great place to work if your good with your hands and working on deadlines. The wages and benefits offer students and any one who wants to go back to school the opportunity.

    Cons

    If your not uses to being on your feet and dealing with repetition all while using tools and stocking parts it's easy to fall behind, in turn affecting the coworkers job before you and after you negatively.

    Advice to Management

    More line leads may need to be trained to general areas to aide and or assist the line mangers to effectively address issues in a timely manner to assure less rework and return of company produced products.

    Got the experience of a greenfield startup

    Cons

    Very political didn't seem to matter how good an employee you were you just had to be good at playing all their little political games

    Advice to Management

    Get out on the floor more and see who your valuable employees are

    Pros

    full time employment kinda you get a lot off layoffs

    Cons

    you start out as a temp, you get no benefits, people there are very clicky, very hard work dangerous how parts are brought to you, low pay for the work, you can be a temp for years some are never hired on.

    Advice to Management

    pay your employees better, make things safer for your employees, give temps better benefits

    Fun product to work on and good perks

    Cons

    The work load is crazy and fast pace. The only way to get a decent raise is to be promoted and that's what everyone focuses on.

    Reward hard work rather then play politics

    Pros

    Polaris has a competitive compensation package including profit sharing, 401k, etc....
    Very flexibile and independent atmosphere with great potential for growth

    Cons

    May be given more than you can chew, however it only makes you stronger.

    Advice to Management

    I feel that upper management does a great job of listening to their employees and developing them into what they want to be.

    Pros

    -Great Supervisors: Competent, good leaders. Most of them have come up through the organization and worked the different jobs throughout the plant which makes them knowledgeable and good problem solvers.
    -Job security
    -Stock options for full time and seasonal workers

    Cons

    -Can be hard work, especially during peak season. However, this is a good thing in terms of job security.
    -Seasonal workers benefits aren't great, but it's not really expected for seasonal workers either!

    Advice to Management

    Always remember to keep the little man in mind! It's something that your leadership is good at, and it is what makes working their worth the had work.

    Great products. Some great people. Excellent leader at CEO.

    Cons

    Not the highest pay. Little advancement potential. Little respect from middle management.

    Listen to engineers and employees.

    Pros

    Great people to work with; wonderful atmosphere and caring employers! I would definitely recommend working here. Experience is necessary. Fast paced!

    Cons

    Fast paced, a large workload and long hours! Sometimes hours can spill into evenings and weekends as well as be able to be on call after hours for emergencies. These made it difficult to remain excited to go to work.

    Advice to Management

    Continue to remain involved and supportive of employees. Continue to grow and change as the company grows and changes. Continue catering to clients and putting their needs first.
