      Pros

Very robust program. Fast-paced, important work. Hold you to high standards, but put show initiative and drive, and you'll be rewarded.

      Cons

No face-to-face interactions... Not Polaris's fault, but still frustrating.

      Pros

You learn a lot, very much so a sink or swim method of learning at Polaris.

      Cons

Veyr fast paced, quality can be overlooked sometimes for speed and it's preached to follow policies that are largely ignored by upper management for the sake of speed.

A Great Place to Work, with a word of caution

      Pros

There is a great company culture, benefits, and pay. The company centers around "toys", so it is understandably a fun company. People know when to be serious and when to be relaxed.

      Cons

The company culture is a double edged sword. If you fit the culture, you're in heaven. If you don't, you will quickly want out or under perform. The culture is fast paced, blunt, outdoors enthusiasts, and 'masculine'. Not surprising that a company that makes off-road equipment and motorcycles is not the most progressive/PC group. Don't take that to mean they are mouth-breathing meat heads. It just means you are not working at a full-on corporate setting like MN neighbors Target Corp, US Bank, or United Health. That isn't always a bad thing. I have worked for a couple corporate giants, and much preferred the culture of Polaris. If you want to save the trees, are meek, or don't like using their products; Polaris isn't for you, and they are okay with that. There is also the undertone of volatility. A large chunk of compensation is bonus based. This is great in fat years, and poor in lean times. There are also regular layoffs when times are tough. As a manufacturer Polaris knows how to be lean. They also apply that to the corporate side and good people do get let go on a regular basis. It is never mass layoffs, but a few dozen here, and a few dozen there. Just know that going in.
