I have been working at Polyglass USA full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

They have very good benefits including a good 401(k) plan where they match up to 6% of your contributions.

    Cons

They seem to just keep piling the work on people whether they have the time to do it or not which creates a very stressful work environment for those who already have their plates full.

    Advice to Management

Review the work loads they're placing on their employees.

Steady work and pay. Okay benefits and hours. Always give employees forty hours a week. Some overtime weekly if you want it.

I worked at Polyglass USA full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Benefits are about all there is and they are not that great.

    Cons

Pay- the only way you get a decent raise is if another company open up with higher pay. They do it out of fear of losing experienced people instead of just doing whats right from the get go. Bonuses are rare yet the upper management seems to be able to pull in the lot with high dollar cars after what would normally be bonus time.

They work you 6 12 hour shifts. Some guys are working 7 straight. No work life balance at all.

Upper management is self centered and self preserving. Good old boys club. Middle management falls short on problem solving, especially in Florida.

    Advice to Management

None. They don't care what anyone below them thinks.

I worked at Polyglass USA full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

From a salary perspective this was one of the best places I worked in my career. Upper management listens and is willing to spend the resources to either fix issues or invest for equipment/staffing if you demonstrate a need. Great pay and decent benefits.

    Cons

There seemed to be some growing pains and difficulty in finding the right people when I was hired in for other salary positions. Use quite a few temp employees before settling on the right person. This is not really a company issue, more of the lack of good entry level workers.

    Advice to Management

Keep listening to employees and investing in the company. Better starting pay for hourly (if not addressed already) would possibly bring in better entry level employees.

    Pros

Steady low pay work. Beau ratio European mindset. People walking around in lab coats are good at telling u what cannot b done

    Cons

Marcom group gets its power from Italian office. They treat product managers like crap. Because they can The same group calls themselves operational marketing what a load. The Deerfield office is nothing more than a place to test Italian formulas for the n American market. Get all the money u can before u start cause the raises are crap. They still use AS 400. Antique. stay away from this company. It's a mess. Just look at the same mess of product at most Lowes. Dusty dirty broken bags. Crappy POS. Each year their shelf space keeps shrinking at Lowes! Remember they make n sell dirt in a bag. That is their mentality

    Advice to Management

Resign and let capable people take over

I have been working at Polyglass USA full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I dont work there any more
Most mid level management is pretty easy to get along with and give clear expectations.

    Cons

Very top heavy company with little or no vision for the future.
Executive level group is questionable a best With little process knowledge yet all the ideas on how to improve it.
Very little appreciation for the sweat and effort of the workers to deliver product with questionable equipment efficiency.
    Rogue maintenance department in Florida.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the folks who have the process experience and let them lead you in the right direction. Multiple incomplete and failed equipment installs could have and can be averted. Dont place blame on others for your inept decisions. integrity is everything. Pull your Maintenance department under control.
