I have been working at Polynesian Cultural Center (More than a year)

    Pros

    Free food, free hula show

    Cons

A lot. Most of the time some local workers dont get along with international student workers. Bossy filipino and polynesian managers. Hard to get promoted unless you get along with those bossy people. Difficult to request weekend day offs.

    Advice to Management

Make it a fair place for everyone to work despite of different races and backgrounds.

I worked at Polynesian Cultural Center part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Wherever you work at the Polynesian Cultural Center, you will be treated like Ohana.
As an area worker at the luau, we had fun working with our guests! You get to watch the show for free every night and dance the Aloha Oe. On top of that, we get to eat for free EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. All the yummy luau food you can stomach. Employees usually become life long friends. We would plan employee movie night outs and host dance parties for all employees in Food & Beverage at the Polynesian Cultural Center. If you work at one of the luaus, you will gain valuable experience, serve others, and gain friendships.

    Cons

We are not allowed to accept tips because the PCC is non-profit.

I worked at Polynesian Cultural Center (Less than a year)

    Pros

Dinner provided, except for this, I can't think of any pros for this job.

    Cons

Once you became the trainer or lead, your supervisor/manager always expected you to do everything and be responsible of everything. It was very stressful but no one helped. There wasn't enough workers so you must spend your own time to volunteer. Most of the workers were students, once time arrived they left everything behind.

    Advice to Management

If you love your workers, hire more. Don't accept too many guests with limited capacity. They do not want to drive their bodies hard.
