Pros

I loved working at pookie and sebastian because every day I had something to do. I was never left with out a duty to finish. Loved the staff and the owners are very supportive of your creativity. If you love working in fashion, then pookie is the place for you. I loved working at their 794 location. Also love the trendy music. Always would wake me up and put me in a good mood.

Cons

Downsides are: If you are lazy then pookie is not for you. There is always something fun to do with in the store. If you do not like hip trendy clothing then pookie is not for your. If you do not like to talk to customers and greet them, then pookie is not for you.

-Owners are horrible at running a business -They illegally change hours to pay out less money to employees -They change commission for sales associates (basically stealing money) -They change tags on clothing and try to pretend that its their brand -The corporate is a joke. they're basically glorified stock associates -Managers are forced to work over 45 hours every week while being micromanaged

Everything. Even thought there was a discount, the clothing was still HORRIBLE quality. Like forever21 and h&m quality... There are countless things that I could say about this company, but I will stick to the main ones. Requesting days off was required a month in advance by filling out a form. Even when you did all that, there was a chance you'd never get put back on the schedule after your requested day off. Having to take a day off for personal emergencies such as family members in the hospital or a funeral could get you fired. The owner by the way, never professionally fired employees. She never had a legitimate reason (like i mentioned before. if you have a legitimate emergency you'd just be fired). So how did she "fire" people? She just stopped putting people on the schedule and when they'd call to ask why, she ignored them and eventually would just block the number and tell other employees to ignore this person too. Extremely unprofessional, hurtful, and financially damaging for people that relied on this job for their income. We ALWAYS had to check our hours and commission because whoever works with the payroll likes to mess around. Multiple times, multiple employees had hours cut for no reason and pay checks were randomly short and commission was not always included. We had to take pictures of the computer screen when we would clock out for the day for proof that our paychecks were messed up. When the owner worked in the store, employees had to be on top of their sales. She loved to steal employees' sales so that she would not have to pay them commission. And then after she stole your sale, she would yell at you for not doing your job. Honestly the woman is nuts. So many former employees just walked out on her because she is so beyond rude and disrespectful.

Hiring process was pretty easy, co-workers are fun and pleasant. lots of great personalities. atmosphere is nice, some great customers

Cons

very bad upper management with terrible professionalism. No room for growth, along with the worst gossip. No benefits and very long hours. over priced, cheap clothing.
