I worked at Porsche Cars North America as an intern (More than a year)

    Pros

Great experience and opportunity to see the behind the scenes operations of the company. Also got to experience the cars and other special events/occasions. Also worked with a great team of people.

    Cons

No chance of full time employment after internship. Seems like they would rather have the cheaper labor from interns than adding more full time positions.

    Advice to Management

Do more to show employees thanks and appreciation for their work in general on a regular basis, not just during special events.

I have been working at Porsche Cars North America (Less than a year)

    Pros

It's a great company to intern. Interns are being expected to do real projects and not serve coffee or make copies. Internships are for six months and veg great way to learn and experience the cooperate environment.

    Cons

The employee headcount comes from Germany , so getting a full time is all about timing. So if you're looking to step your foot on the door and climb up the ladder, probably not a place to consider.

    Pros

    Benefits
Coworkers are awesome- built a great network

    Cons

    Management
Manager had no clue how to run department and was working the team crazy hours to compensate. He purposely did not report the completed accounts per day accurately until an employee advised they were going to his manager if he did not start. Employees were under appreciated for 40+ hour work weeks- were required to work on Saturdays to help handle the work load and if they did not work Saturdays had to work extra 1 hour Mon-Fri.

    Detlev was amazing at PCNA

    Salary- VERY low

    Advice to Management

Stop reallocating head count to where you think it is needed and start looking at the numbers to confirm what should stay. Especially when it comes to customer facing jobs there should be more than enough than not enough people.

I worked at Porsche Cars North America (Less than a year)

    Pros

The people are very friendly, professional and interesting. They come from a variety of different backgrounds from different countries so it feels like a very International place to work at, although the majority are either from the US or Germany. The benefits are very good and there is room for advancement within the company.

    Cons

I felt that in certain respects there was sometimes a lack of information regarding what information to provide to customers but part of that was due to having to wait for information from world headquarters in Germany. It is not easy to get a job there.

    Advice to Management

I had a very good rapport with management so all that I could suggest would be to continue good communication with employees and cross-departmental sharing of information.

    Pros

Internships are treated as entry level positions with room to grow. Pay is competitive. You learn a lot and can get to know a lot of people since its small.

    Cons

I don't really have any cons really, each experience is different depending on your department. Open office environment is something to get used to.
