    Pros

    Plenty of learning opportunities and the engineers all treat you as an equal. Everyone looks out for each other and make working for the port enjoyable

    Cons

    No cons other than it could be competitive to secure a job upon graduating due to the limited new civil associate positions available.

    Pros

    Passive work load. Very nice people. Easy work.

    Cons

    Not much engineering design, unless you're in the transportation and structural division. The majority of civil design work is consulted out.

    Long commute. City employment testing means there is no chance to be hired if they like you and you perform well.

    Aesthetics, benefits (Health, Dental, Life, Tuition-Reimbursement, Van Pool, & New Hire Boat ride), and easy commute.

    Cons

    Management and executives are often clueless to anything that is not a warf or vessel related. Other than that it’s a great place to work.
