    Pros

No Pros just a bunch of cons with suit and ties taking bribes and bonuses self evaluations.

    Cons

Everything. Management lower and upper do not listen to employees, HR department is in managements pocket.

I have been working at Port of Seattle full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Well paid and smart workforce. Senior leaders work hard. Junior staff is cruising and making sure they can retire safely (the less initiative/risks the safer).

    Cons

Half of the work is detailed memos writing to explain actions. Politics and fear disable a lot of potential initiatives. A lot of entitlement and resentment within the staff. People are on task but leadership/management are not valued.
Fear drives behavior and actions. Political correctness creates an excessive sterile environment

    Advice to Management

Put people first, invest in their personal growth, make leadership number one then tasks, initiatives and projects will move forward

    Pros

Large organization that likes to create opportunity for internal candidates that show potential. Exposure to many facets of aviation and maritime industries in a public service environment.

    Cons

Sometimes not a lot of movement or room for advancement without broadening career focus. Somewhat stagnate environment with not a lot of younger professionals.
