RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEOI have been working at Portico Benefit Services full-time for less than a year
Pros
The size of the company gives employees the opportunity to jump in and try new things, which is great for career development and ensures that no two days are the same. Management is supportive and flexible. They realize that we're all human and understand that sometimes work has to take a back seat, while also providing opportunities to grow within your position. The benefits are amazing and the salary is competitive.
Cons
Sometimes projects can get bottlenecked in the approval process causing work to be re-done.

The staff and mission at Portico are wonderful. In the area I worked, you really feel supported by Management and they truly want you to succeed. There are always multiple projects underway so if you are looking for opportunities, you can get involved in those.

I have been working at Portico Benefit Services full-time for less than a year
Pros
Great benefits if you get then (I was contingent staff, but most coworkers talked about how great they are) Compentant staff. Callers are Lutheran pastors, so 85% of the calls are friendly, even on sensitive subjects.
Cons
Dealing with Medicare or health benefits is not my cup of tea. With our switch of Medicare partner to Humana, members were upset about that.

Pros
Benefits are nice and the work space meets the basic needs.
Cons
Smells and feels like working in your grandma's living room (slow and old computers, lots of printing, no decent technology) without the flexibility, care, encouragement to develop, and ice cream bars that your grandma would provide.
