Empty promises, disorganized, & overall incompetence

“Working from home” aka burning company base salary doing whatever you want
Cons
Everything. NO COMPANY PROVIDED LEADS. Excessive amount of virtual zoom meetings everyday where managers repeat the same thing everyday asking you how many calls you made to a dead list of leads. Management is so blindly pretentious and their job function is completely useless so they scramble for content to “train” you on but it’s just a bunch of irritating micro managing. The clowns assigned as my managers thought they were gods gift to the solar industry but in reality they were complete morons. I schooled them all day on solar knowledge. Posigen sells a dream product but is not able to come close to delivering on it. They claim they are going to cut homeowners annual electric usage by 20% by performing energy efficiency measures....but guess what? The 3rd party energy efficiency company that performs the audit barely does anything to help the homeowner. They replace their lights bulbs to LEDS and say have a nice day. In order to cut annual usage by 20% you have to do a lot more then replace light bulbs. You need to replace entire air conditioning units and windows at the very least. Posigen doesn’t have the money to put towards these kinds of upgrades. I’ve spoken with a handful of installed Posigen customers and they stated they aren’t getting the solar production they need to carry them though the summer months. Posigen under sizes the system to reflect a 20% drop in a homeowners annual production. This is a huge mistake and is opening the door for countless law suits. EMPLOYEE AND HOMEOWNER BEWARE!! Don’t waste your time and go work one of the big hitters in the solar industry.

A company with great ideas but not enough money

okay base salary .. lowest commissions in the industry … financially insolvent company The managers expect you to cold call a dead list of leads and door knock with low expectations of success being the norm .
Cons
Lack of work life balance and unclearly written commission . Very understaffed and underpayed customer service department . Minimal marketing .

Pros
Great new protocols, positive people, wonderful energy! Very much an open door environment that allows for your thoughts and ideas to be put into action. Management has done a great job of putting key people in place to help grow the company the smart way.
Cons
Need to be very flexible as the environment is fast changing! I have been here 6 months and I am amazed at the growth!

Sales Representative
Jan 22, 2017 - Sales Representative in New Orleans, LARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The managers at this company are great. They try to help their sales people and give positive feedback regularly. Everyone is very nice and it is a pleasant work environment. The schedule is flexible enough to where you are able to maintain out-of-work responsibilities, such as picking a child up from school.
Cons
The company seems to operate to ensure that the senior sales representatives keep their pockets padded, while not allowing for enough opportunity for new hires to succeed. When suggestions are made, they seem to be shut down in favor of senior sales reps. Coming into the company as a new hire, it is nearly impossible to get to commissions that can help people obtain a living wage. This is not due to lack of support, but rather to the amount of sales that come back as "non-feasible" and the mileage you are required to travel on a daily basis.

Review of PosiGen Solar LLC
Nov 20, 2018 - Anonymous Employee in New Orleans, LARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
PosiGen is a great company to work for. I've been employed here for the last 4 years and from the moment I began the culture of the company has been to make every internal & external customer to feel like family. Also, I admire the goal of the company which is to help homeowners who would otherwise be unable to afford solar have the opportunity to make their own power to help them save money to use elsewhere such as towards savings, food, medication, or other family needs. The pay/salary is in line or above average for other companies in the area. We have great benefits, option for 401K, and if you have been employed more than 1 yr stock options in the company. This company is ever expanding into new markets which is great for other job opportunities
Cons
I previously work with larger more established companies that have processes and procedures already in place & since this company is still in its infancy a lot of processes & procedures are just being created through trial and error. But with that trial and error the processes and procedures that are being implemented is making the company stronger & better.

Must be self sufficient to succeed
Sep 30, 2019 - Outside Sales Consultant in Baton Rouge, LARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Overall, met some great people working for the customers to make financial impact to homeowners. Small company atmosphere.
Cons
Hours, my team lead inexperienced, too much travel, employee concerns not addressed, confusion on commission structure. Team lead showed no empathy for employee struggles or obstacles. Total lack of training from day 2 on. Leadership doesn’t want to hear your issues and HR doesn’t address issues either.

Fast growing, positive culture, rewarding mission
Jan 21, 2016 - Anonymous EmployeeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Extremely fast growing company with huge opportunities for the future. Awesome company cultureAwesome company cultureAwesome company culture and mission- the management team doesn't lose sight about the purpose of PosiGen existing- to help low income homeowners to lower their bills. Savings guarantees make sure we only ever benefit our customers. Really positive culture and environments. Different offices are managed differently, but they're all good environments with a team that truly wants to help customers, no cut-throat sales culture here. Management is very open to hearing lower level employees ideas and thoughts, and always wants to do what is best for the customers, employees, and company.
Cons
The company is young and there is a LOT of change. If you're scared of change you may be uncomfortable. If you can handle a moving environment with many adjustments, there is a ton of opportunity.
