Disapproves of CEOI have been working at Positive Behavior Supports part-time for more than a year
Pros
Mentoring session online. Families and clients are awesome to work with but can be hard when you there on your own. Challenging at times with no support. Some supervisors really care and do what it takes
Cons
Zero benefits for part time and hard to get full time. Supervisors can range from awesome to bad. Can’t make a living of this. No upward mobility unless becoming a bcba. No reimbursement for materials you always keep buying. Most of the time is after school hours so effectively you can only work after 3 to possibly 8 and weekends. Not much leadership during the pandemic. Cancellations are unpaid and you lose money if a family quarantines for two weeks

Cons
Not a lot of training support for new assistants The hours can be inconsistent and is hard to work 40 hours if you don't want to work long days and weekends Benefits for full-time behavior technicians are not so great
