I have been working at Postmates as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Get paid for wait time & mileage

    Cons

They pay $4 for delivery pray it's a promotion, you get a tip ( if you do get a tip it take 24hrs for you to get it) or it's a far drop-off, other then that your only making $4. They don't have live support or customer service everything is a robot, if you have a issue you won't get any help from Postmates.

    Advice to Management

Fix pay or keep the promotion, have live support for the drivers, compensate the drivers for going to pick ups & the restaurant is not there, closed, wrong address or the customer cancel & put more options for cancelling a delivery like distance is to far or we can write a description instead of taking the drivers offline not knowing the reason for the cancellation

I have been working at Postmates as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Working for Postmates is a unique experience I find qualitatively rewarding as well as quantitatively. I completed deliveries by bicycle for a month during the summer and while it was not easy, it was never boring. What I loved most was the opportunity to explore the intricate neighborhoods of New York I might never myself have come across. On average I was able to complete two deliveries per hour and net minimum with tips. Although I have not completed deliveries since moving back to Phoenix this December, it is definitely something I recommend to any friends of mine who might be looking for work.

    Cons

Extended periods of physical exertion require greater caloric intake, most of my payouts went towards groceries.

    Pros

Flexible app works fine and instant pay

    Cons

Postmates do not care for there workers there should be a tip minimum most of us walk and drive miles with no guarantee of a tip I walked miles for a order I had to place myself and wait 30 min walked over a mile for 6.48 cent 125 dollars worth of food with no tip that’s ridiculous a bunch of rich cheap ppl and the fact they use Postmates because of low delivery fee and the choice not to tip

    Advice to Management

We’re making you guys rich at least look out for us demand a minimum tip process it immediately give the option for a tip before the order is placed we shouldn’t have to wait forever guessing if we’re getting a tip or not we should know the tip ahead of time when purchased and it should be posted just as fast as that 4 dollars given if you want to last and keep in business you need the courier just as much as the customer remember that seriously thinking of Grubhub known fact they look out for their courier probably the reason their number one

I worked at Postmates as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

The job gives you freedom to choose the days and hours you work.

    Cons

The job can dismiss you at a moment's notice without giving you the means to contest or rectify the situation. You cannot directly or indirectly contact another human being.

    Advice to Management

Please give fleet members a way to contact someone in management through a phone call.

I have been working at Postmates (Less than a year)

    Pros

Schedule, that's all I can think of.

    Cons

5 times a delivery has taken me to a place that's closed, and I didn't get paid for it.
They didn't even call me or the customer. So I had to cancel all five times. Ridiculous.
    Not so good pay.

    Advice to Management

Hire better workers in upper management

I have been working at Postmates (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Tips,Good rates,no skills required, not using your own cash for pickups, decent with wait times/distances.

    Cons

Sooooooooooooo many cons. They used to show you both the pickup and dropoff before the delivery got accepted. They also used to have an inbound number you could call for support, but now Have replaced it with an automated email system. Also, they now rob you for half your delivery fee avid count multiple orders as a single pickup even if they go to two different far locations.

    Advice to Management

Stop constantly hiring because it's not helping anyone make money.Bring back the live order support instead of automated emails. You know like actual live order SUPPORT.Give the customer an incentive to tip. Also allow us to accept cash.
