    Pros

Good place to start out in high school. Treats employees well. Competitive pay.

    Cons

None, honestly. Although it sucks when employees call off and your short staffed. You will get these at a lot of jobs tho, not just potbelly's

    Advice to Management

    Take notes from Mary Hill

      Pros

Easy to get a Job. They do give raises when they have their reviews. Their sandwiches are okay.

      Cons

the company seemed like they didn't have much care for their employees and they would have many managers who would scold you for calling in sick one day after months of not missing a single shift.

      Advice to Management

create a rapport between associates and managers, one that includes mutual respect and appreciation

I have been working at Potbelly Sandwich Works full-time for more than 6 years

      Pros

Very fast pace customer interactions with positive energy, overall the job itself if fairly simple and not hard to learn at all. Most of the training can be completed within 1-2 months.

      Cons

Currently staff is very limited as the company is changing new CEOs as well as former long term management leaving the company and bringing in new workers who simply do not have the same values as the old management team. Shops are being expected to pass prior year sales with half of their staff. Even if you are a hard worker unless you are constantly having "positive energy " don't expect to get a pay raise or promotion....

      Advice to Management

Do what you can to keep your veteran workers happy and willing to stay with the company and enable a way so that new hires can be trained during the high increase of veteran staff leaving so that the staff that is staying is not overwhelmed.

      Pros

Great people to work with as long as they're competent. Everyone is super friendly and nice. It's a really easy job that involves memorization. Once you get it down, you're set.

      Cons

Raises don't happen enough and aren't able to accept tips. Customers either stuck up and treat employees like crap, are really dumb, or both.
