    Pros

Work with some great people. Great discounts on the product.

    Cons

CEO and upper management are very cold and don't care about employees. They could care less about any of the issues the store has. During store visits we are encouraged to smile and keep our mouths shut.

    Unfortunately an afterthought

    Pros

PB Teen does partner with some really great brands such as Junk Gypsy and Emily and Merritt. They also support the stores in embracing current trends with marketing and events that appeal to teens.

    Cons

The PB Teen sector of the Pottery Barn brand was definitely an afterthought when I worked there. There are very few of these locations, and not a lot of effort is put into their business. They are lumped in with the Pottery Barn Kids, which they have very little in common with. Hopefully since I have left they have separated PB Teen off and invested in them more.

    Manager bullying

    Pros

When I worked on the visual team it was great. I worked there for 13 years and probably would have stayed if not for the manager bullying all of us who were “original crew” before she came. The manager only had been with PB for 1 year before coming to us from Arizona.

    Cons

The money isn’t great, the pressure to sell is very intense and the hours are all over the place. You need to be sure to ask for time off 3 weeks before you go anywhere.

    Pros

Positive encouragement from DM and lots of support when you need it. Fun, fast paced, and always changing working environment.

    Cons

-Payroll. Even as management it’s being cut, all the time. Even when there is cuts, your still expected to do your job and someone else’s. Which can be stressful and hard to achieve. -Don’t stock our stores well enough to be ready for events or seasons. Then get upset when we can’t sell enough and our departments are down.
