    Pros

    Good discount, good quality product

corporate cheerleaders. If you aren't a cheerleader they don't look at the skills you do have. Do not care for employee. Not people first. Treat employees like they are replacable.

    Always Warm, Never Cold

    Pros

The company is built on a positive message of "people first," which means as an associate you are always taken care of in the end. Competitive wages, a great discount across all brands, and plenty of opportunities to grow and expand both in your role and outside the store.

    Cons

Days can be long, especially dealing with customer service problems that result from local delivery companies and the frequent errors they make.

Great company to learn about the corporate environment.

    Pros

They want you to succeed within the company. They have a great work/life balance and encourage you to have your personal time! They are extremely dedicated to giving you all the tools you need to perform above and beyond your job. Their management style is great!

    Cons

They are fiscally pretty conservative and a traditional company - not great vacation benefits, no working from home, etc. They tighten their belt at year end (like most companies) but it can affect you if you were slated to travel or go to workshops etc.

    Not so great!

    Pros

Core sales associates were great! Discount is a bonus! Majority of customers are awesome - working with the public can be challenging but can we rewarding!!!

    Cons

Extremely long hours for management because the work won't get done otherwise. Corporate has NO IDEA what happens at the store level - completely disconnected and expectations aren't realistic! Claims of a people first company - not true! Manager's are supposed to be shopkeepers...DMs micromanage...they aren't shopkeepers. It's disheartening....Pottery Barn has so much potential! NO TRAINING AT ANY LEVEL!
