I worked at Pottery Barn part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great discount! Sales training ground is great-- metrics-focused sales managers coached associates on how to reach their target goals-- this is great training ground for moving into professional B2B sales-- I was really proud of my sales numbers and awards (president's club-bronze) and leveraged them to get my foot in the door in B2B tech sales.

    Cons

Low increases in hourly compensation (raises) and high turnover.

    Advice to Management

I loved all the sales and product training. Create ways for employees to recommend themselves for additional training and education. Create more opportunities for growth and look at your sales associates for their potential for coming to corporate.

    Pros

The most talented and inspiring people I could ever hope to work with. Everyone works so hard to deliver for our teams and customers.

Keep talking to the store teams, that is where the answers are and the magic happens.

Great discount, excellent product, nice atmosphere. I love to be among the first ones to find out when something goes on clearance.
