The co-workers are amazing there And the benefits are great.

    Cons

The upper management from the leads to the supervisors too the top dog are inconsiderate. They talk down to you like you are a lower life form then them. They also make some of the most idiotic decisions for the work place. Plus low pay amazingly low pay

    Advice to Management

Get it together look at your employees as the amazing hard workers they are. I have never seen people disrespected like I did here. Please look at your leadmen and supervisors more closely. And pay the people what they are worth

I worked at Powell Industries full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There are a lot of friendly people to work alongside from a large melting pot of nations. Not too much else.

    Cons

The pay and subsequent "raises" are a joke. Favoritism and nepotism are rampant. There are way too many "bosses" on the factory floor while the actual "management" is rather incompetent. The companies' commitment to safety is merely lip service. There usually has to be a catastrophic event in order to get any action.

    Advice to Management

You might get better effort and quality from floor workers if you paid them a more competitive wage. Upper factory management needs to be given walking papers. Hire some managers that have a knowledge of the product and the way it is produced, not a bunch of tough talkers that only know how to micro manage and crack the whip in order to satiate their machismo.

    Pros

great company great benefits decent pay

    Cons

management is not honest with its employees, they talk a good game about safety but overlook serious safety issues for the sake of production. Their "tribal knowledge" makes it hard for new employees to learn quickly. IT IS EXTREMELY CLIQUE DRIVEN!

    Advice to Management

Retool your planning because its awful, relate better to your employees because your terrible at it.

    Pros

The job is very simple and easy.

    Cons

They did not want to improve their efficiencies at all. They were content running this like a mom and pop shop. There is no experience leadership in the entire facility.

    Advice to Management

They need to step their game up, and learn how to improve attitude in the facility. They need to drive some large changes to make them elite in their product line.
