I worked at Powell Industries as an intern

    Pros

This internship teaches you a great deal, allowing you to shadow various departments, as well as give you real assignments to tackle independently that are used in business projects, as opposed to just busy work.

    Cons

There were times that there was downtime where it seemed they didn't have anything for me to do, but I understood that was simply going to happen every now and then, as they weren't always going to have extra assignments I could actually be of help for.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing, this is a great internship program.

    Pros

Big company and I wanted to work at power equipment manufacturer. It is also international and has a big history

    Cons

Starting at 8 am, a bit far from city center (30 min drive), people are not very motivated to work hard, because they are not required to do so.

    Advice to Management

    Put interns on real projects
