    Pros

    Overall an employee centric company.

    Cons

Hired for one position and then with out consult switched to another position. Little communication between employee and management. Promised commissions that did not materialize. Management did not share future plans with employees, very secretive about direction of division. Clinical division acts as a distributor and does not make money so employees have uneasy feeling of the future and direction. Lots of promises that did not materialize. No appreciation from immediate management for accomplishments. Pay not competitive in the medical device market.

    Advice to Management

Transparency! ! Be open with your employees and communicate your long term goals for the clinical division. Do not make promises until you are sure you can deliver. If you want a presence in the clinical sector bring on management that knows how to sell to a clinical customer.

    Pros

Not sure there were many if any pros to list here other than the co workers that I worked with were the best part

    Cons

To many cons to list here, preach safety safety safety, but it is all pretty much just lip service.

    Pros

Excellent company, knows how to grow and improve the business. Very focused and has an excellent reputation of delivering results.

    Cons

At times, too focused on cost and not people; customers and employees. Can be a tough work environment.

    Advice to Management

    Don't forget people!

I have been working at Praxair full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Generally good support team for each function of the business. Big software update coming soon. Always searching for ways to be safer and smarter in operations.

    Cons

Health benefits get worse every year. Managers are forced to do more with less. Job becomes all consuming. Very hard to replace headcount. Upper management can view your body of work completely different from the last manager. Beware.

    Advice to Management

Understand the business from the front line before you try to make changes. Work closely with your direct reports before you make assumptions.

I have been working at Praxair full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The pros of working for this company is the paycheck is there every week and they provide the safety equipment

    Cons

The company says that the truck drivers are over paid.

No family time for the truck drivers.

Several 65 to 70 hour weeks.

truck drivers work nights, weekends and holidays consistently while management works days and has every weekend off while working their 40 hours and rarely a minute more

Forced to work on scheduled days off or be on "stand by" due to lack of truck drivers when you are finally scheduled to be off on a weekend

Management and safety specialists along with H.R. reps will follow the drivers while they are driving and loading or unloading to do hidden observations without the driver being aware

Cameras being installed into every truck to watch the drivers but no cameras are being installed to cars or pick up trucks of management

    Advice to Management

Improve the work schedule, pay the drivers like they are the best and become a more family friendly company and be able to show leadership by leading by example when it comes to work schedule and hours worked per week
