I have been working at PreSonus Audio full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great people to work with. Nearly all great musicians and industry pros who sincerely love what they do.

    Cons

Not a lot of direction at times. Sometimes is like the inmates running the prison, but hey isn't that what makes a gig fun?

    Advice to Management

Need better middle-management and communication within company.

I have been working at PreSonus Audio full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Fun, exciting work, good people, casual atmosphere. From famous artists coming in to good benefits all around, PreSonus is a good place to work.

    Cons

Management is improving but needs to reward lower and mid level workers with better compensation for hard work. You have to negotiate aggressively for a raise - you will never earn one otherwise. Many employees are friends or musicians first and need to leave so the company can improve with a more competent workforce

    Advice to Management

Reward hard work and increased revenue with pay raises and bonuses. Don't make them beg for it. At minimum keep up with inflation.

PreSonus is a real family oriented company who actually cares about their employees.

If you don't know audio that's really the only downfall. This company is amazing.

    Neutral Outlook

I have been working at PreSonus Audio full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I can't say I've every been introduced to a better group of people to work with. The people who started the company STILL talk to me and ask me questions about how things are going. Who does that in a position a company like PreSonus is? Not many and definitely not a lot of MI companies.

    Cons

I don't have much to complain about. Sometimes I feel extremely overwhelmed with my position and what I have to go on, but my boss is quick to help with PTO scheduling so I don't go crazy, and I wish we could have more help. Wish Upper-Management could see our potential too and perhaps give benefits to hard work and extra incentives to boost a little more an already positive morale at this exciting company.

    Advice to Management

Do not forget your customer, which you have done such a good job of to this point. Keep that culture and keep listening to them. They LOVE the fact that you do. Keep the people you pay close and reward them for good work.

    Pros

Great benefits package. Committed to creating a great environment for its employees.

    Cons

Insurance is free- good when you don't need it- bad when you do need it.

I worked at PreSonus Audio full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

This is an exciting company in their market of audio electronics and they are producing some of the leading edge hardware and software solutions for live and studio recording environments. The team has some very smart people and the vibe there is you are like family.

    Cons

They haven't figured out product strategy in some of the new markets they are targeting and that may be due to having some old-school mentality around the table; although as I mentioned they are very smart and likely to figure it out soon. Part of this is a focus issue as well.

    Advice to Management

Focus your product efforts where you know you are strong and can get quick wins and figure out the funding strategy.

I have been working at PreSonus Audio full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

I've been here for many years and I don't know of a better place in our industry to work. The people are what make the difference. These guys are passionate and are striving to get better every day. The new building is awesome and

    Cons

As the company has grown, it's getting to be more corporate in feel. I don't know if there is any way around this but it's just an observation.

    Advice to Management

Strive to keep the culture that got you where you are in the first place. Don't ever lose it.
