I worked at Precise Software full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The relaxed atmosphere allows a personal connection between employees that leads into a more successful work environment.

    Cons

The software business is sometimes fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants and the challenge is for those implementing a process to keep up.

    Advice to Management

Any company should always think about the future, with documentation and with design.

I worked at Precise Software full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Initially was a great startup and then had good camaraderie and growth potential. Product line was ahead of the curve.

    Cons

Over several transitions the company went downhill and was mismanaged by executives. Products were not kept up to date with industry and fell behind to others coming in the market. Latest management is focused on low cost help in exchange for losing years of knowledge and experience in existing employees.

    Advice to Management

Work harder to keep existing employees and at least act like you care about them.

    Pros

Since this is a smaller company this role offered opportunities for me to learn more about the business functions around Sales and Finance. The impact of changes made were quickly realized.

    Cons

Sometimes there weren't enough resources to do things as well as I would have liked to.

    Pros

Great co-workers, location is good (no need to enter Tel Aviv), management is personable and supporting, my project is challenging some of the time.

    Cons

Too much badly written old code to maintain, incredibly, there are many plumbing problems in the building (bad smells on rainy days)
