I worked at Precision IT Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Probably the best management I've ever worked with. All concerns addressed and questions understood. Best team atmosphere I have ever seen, the major focus remains on results for the customer.

    Cons

Security hoops slow down the process of helping people out but are necessary, but this causes headaches eventually. Demanding clients due to the nature of the business, cant be avoided so every contingency must be taken over the smallest or irrelevant item. Some more permanent staff could have made a large difference in the workload as it was at times, immense.

    Advice to Management

Keep some extra permanent staff on hand.

I worked at Precision IT Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Working with the team overall was a good experience. It was a good learning experience (in the beginning).

    Cons

They want employees to STAY where they are. They dangle promotions, raises, and opportunities in front of you. But throw on more duties (not related to your role) without proper compensation.

    Advice to Management

People wouldn't want to leave if you addressed their concerns and issues, within a proper time frame. Not wait over 3 years. That current 4 star rating is too generous and those of us who have left have not wanted to waste the time to review (though they really should) In my years there, you expected LOYALTY and considered a 2 year employment with you successful. So after the two years, if you weren't there from the beginning...

I have been working at Precision IT Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I have learned more here than at any of my previous employers. Precision dips into new technology and trains you on how to you use it. The staff is a great group of smart and intelligent people. They will teach and help you when you are uncertain. As i work with Precision, i have noticed they will work with you as they do care about your life and they will help if you need it outside the office. I have not one bad experience...

    Cons

It is a tight office as they bring on more staff, hopefully they will get a bigger place to fit everyone.

I worked at Precision IT Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Midtown location near most trains. Matching 401k. The culture is very casual. Peers talk to each other like best friends.

    Cons

Pay starts off decent. Average yearly salary increase is about 4%. And then that's about it. Unless they like you. Then you'll get proposed a promotion with a salary bump "when the time is right." Key word is proposed. Or you might get a random bonus if you're lucky just to keep you happy in the meantime. You can notice who's management's favorites fairly easily if you really pay attention. The free Friday lunches and...

    Advice to Management

Enough with the empty promises. Your greatest asset is your people. Give them a reason to stay. Don't just say it. Do it.

I worked at Precision IT Group full-time

    Pros

Not Hard to climb up the ladder, if you know your stuff .. but you have to know it. No one will teach you. Good place for ambitious self-starter. The company offers a generous allowance for Training certifications, but it is up to you, to seek them out. No one wants to hold your hand while you learn how to do something. But theywill pay for your studies and give you a bonus When complete. Lots of people do not get this...

    Cons

Very agree here with another review where someone said "tenured Employees set in Their Ways."

    Advice to Management

The biggest complaint is it did not always did feel like everyone on the same team. Many different departments and very little exchange of information. Much siloing. This could be changed with the right approach.

I worked at Precision IT Group

    Pros

The group of employees are helpful and the techs know their stuff. The management is understanding of how hectic the clients can be and do their best to help out.

    Cons

Not many cons. They don't pay that well in the beginning but they have raises and promotions.

I have been working at Precision IT Group

      Pros

      You'll learn by brute force..

      Cons

You will learn by brute force because you get blown off by colleagues. A crappy office with all guys and like 3 girls. rude customers. sneaky management, clicky staff (including management), sloppy IT work, employees are over worked and under paid.

      Advice to Management

Put up or shut up. Either be good people or stop acting like you are and do the right thing for your employees. Management is not always doing things right its also about doing the right thing.

I have been working at Precision IT Group

      Pros

-Great advancement opportunities -Relaxed environment -Leadership open to new ideas, lets you run with your own idea -Celebrates successes, owns up to failures -Caring management/leadership

      Cons

Medical plan is confusing. Ineffective middle management. Everyone has their stories. Lot of change over the years, changing teams, projects, seating etc. If you're not flexible and adaptable, you'll be frustrated.

      Advice to Management

Continue to develop your talent. Several people passed over for outside new hires that had the capabilities for advancement.
