    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Precision Therapeutics as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

The job is good overall and the pay is descent. If you want to be a full stack engineer, it is the place.

    Cons

No cutting-edge technologies here and the software release is relatively slow right now.

    Advice to Management

I think the company needs a more creative atmosphere and a R&D department in LIMS.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Precision Therapeutics full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Some very intelligent individuals who have been at the company for a long time. These same people believe in the product and want to help patients. Unfortunately, this great talent is departing more and more.

    Cons

Senior Management does not live in Pittsburgh. They fly in for a few days a month and then disappear. Just laid off half the sales team. Priorities are in the wrong place. They make future promises they can not keep. It is ashame because once was a great company.

    Advice to Management

Establish a company plan and stick to it. Don't change employees focus every hour. Lots of wasted time, money and many do overs.

I worked at Precision Therapeutics full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    the co-workers are very nice

    Cons

The company said it will make even soon, but never made it. So, you have to work much more than normal company, and be ready to be laid off as cutting cost may be the best way to make even.

I worked at Precision Therapeutics full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Initially I loved working at Precision. They seemed really focused on helping patients and really wanted to listen to their employees on how processes could be improved and how to make the products better.

    Cons

After working there for several years I felt all the managers cared about was the bottom line and not quality or their employees.

nice co-workers, good salary and holidays

    Cons

crazy busy at software team, micro controls, stressful

    Advice to Management

give the direction, and let the employees do their jobs. for several departments, should hire more employees to do the work. It's not fair to reduce reduce manpower, but keep the same workload.

I worked at Precision Therapeutics full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

decent pay and benefits, flexable work hours, great people to work with on a daily basis

    Cons

This company was on a positive track to success until the last 8 months. New management was very micromanaging and wanted to do everything their way without regard to the staff it affected. Business decisions made were in anticipation of "What if's" and just shot the company's future to hell. If you are still there, run for the hills. The doors will close in the next 6 months to a year. Its really sad for a company that had such potential to help cancer patients. All the core people of their business are gone or now looking to leave before the doors close.

    Advice to Management

Focus on the core of what built your business and get rid of the real problem. Everyone that remians is looking to leave sooner than later. The name has been tarnished wth the recent actions taken and will be tough to build back up to survive.
