I have been working at Premier Research full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Based on my experience Premier has a positive, collaborative culture although this varies based on your specific manager. Some systems have been upgraded which is helpful.

    Cons

The workload can be very heavy and the expectation that teams will do more with less can be very frustrating. Opportunities for advancement are limited ad compensation is lower than other CROs.

    Advice to Management

Address compensation issues to retain employees. Invest in your employees who have invested in your organization. Provide meaningful growth opportuniities.

    Pros

    Pros

Great family/work balance. Competitive salary, 2 floating holidays.... Wonderful benefits. PTO is a good balance, and they changed the rules so we are allowed to carry PTO over to the next year.

    Cons

I have none to note.... My overall challenge is the average 7 day turn around for a trip report.... But it's still a standard turnaround timeframe

I have been working at Premier Research as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Learn a lot about business skills, how to write "Business English". A lot of great people here who are all very nice to me.

    Cons

There is no perfect places. I think you should judge people based on their performance... not seniority level.

    Advice to Management

Advise is the same as the cons, but it's difficult because you can only oversee this much... I think an implementation of judging people by their accomplishment is better than seniority.

    Pros

Good work environement and good people to work with. Salaries and benefits compariable with the industry. Management at the Director and VP Level committed to the quality of the work and the employees.

    Cons

Executive Management keeps decisions very close to the vest. New ownership reducing staff in waves creates an environment of uncertainty and distrust. Little communication about the direction of the company to the rank and file.

    Advice to Management

Let people know what's going on and the challenges facing the company and industry. Make up your mind and make the cuts and be done with it.

Small and focus driven. CEO has big plans to expand company and create more positions. The company does a good job at informing employees what is happening.

    Cons

Can sometimes be disorganized and the workload can be overwhelming sometimes. There is not much opportunity for growth.

    Pros

People are friendly, upper management is well connected to its employees and it is easy to get them involved. The realtionships with the Line Manager was very friendly.

    Cons

There were not enough projects in my country. They should have more global Medical Company customers in order to obtain more stability.

    Advice to Management

Look internally to promote good employees who are willing to develop themselves and to receive new career opportunities. All employees should receive an annual bonus.

I worked at Premier Research full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Easy management, great office, nice young people, good career opportunities and nice working hours in my case 11 to 7 PM. One day home office weekly.

    Cons

Very specific experience which is not always applicable in the local labor market; payment could have been better.

    Advice to Management

The management is in general doing a good job, keeping employees in the loop and being fair as long as fairness is possible being a manager on project based teams. There are not enough activities boosting the team spirit so go and organize them.
