If you want to be overworked and frustrated this is the job for you
May 24, 2023 - Occupational Health Nurse in Tucson, AZRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
There are some really good people that work there. They try to put people and pathways in place to help you succeed.
Cons
Salary does not match the hours required to do the job - I had to put in many hours of overtime. Turnover rates for MA, RN, NP/PA was unbelievable - I only found out after I got into the position. Other information about job duties/responsibilities were also withheld and I only learned about after starting the position. Benefits could be better - initial deductible way too high. There is no work/life balance (unlike what they deceptively advertise to lure you in) and to add insult to injury - they don't even care - you are on your own. Management again does not care about you or your work challenges - pretty much sink or swim and from the immediate manager on up if appears that they are all friends/have each others backs - so no one is ever held accountable.

Premise Health - Fitness Line of Service
Mar 7, 2023 - Fitness Specialist in Wilmington, DERecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Awesome work environment & members (depending on client company). The job is generally a lot of fun, gives you a creative outlet, and is not too stressful. Some great health insurance benefits - Kindbody fertility coverage, Virgin Pulse/Sonic Boom wellness platform to pocket easy money each quarter (~$50-75), internal complimentary virtual counseling/therapy, etc.
Cons
Lack of upward career advancement opportunities, even if you're willing to relocate. Below the DCO role, you'll always be working as a contractor, so be sure you enjoy what you're doing because you won't get paid a lot. Upper level management has done some sketchy things to ensure Premise Health gets the profit margin they're looking for with each client contract (pay cuts/changes to personal training commission with only 2 weeks notice), so raise hell with HR and stand up for yourself to ensure you don't get completely screwed over. Facility check-in system, reporting, and company-wide shared programs/documents are often very outdated, clunky, inefficient, and crash and/or develop new problems on a consistent basis. Brace yourself for endless frustrations and spreadsheets.

Overall best company I've worked for but room for improvement
Mar 29, 2023 - Behavioral Health Specialist in Nashville, TNRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Great patients and coworkers, positive work environment, competitive salary for the field, decent benefits, reasonable workload for the most part, lots of autonomy in how I work with patients (almost akin to private practice), positive environment, money for CEUs and office equipment with no questions asked, GREAT nationwide team of fellow clinicians, leadership is receptive and responsive to concerns, culture of diversity and inclusion is improving, looks like they read and consider glass door reviews
Cons
Prescription coverage is abysmal unless you spring for the $$$$ insurance plan, increase in demands without the associated appreciation or compensation, blanket policies that do not account for the needs of each individual site or line of service, lines of service sold as a commodity which means clients get unreasonable expectations

Great working environment, but discriminated
Feb 12, 2023 - Analyst in Brentwood, TNRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The pros of this job include a very positive working environment, no overtime, slow-paced work, great management, and great healthcare benefits, especially with the nearsite clinic and pharmacy. Work/life balance is very good. I never worked overtime once. Executive management is clear and professional. The company engages in good and socially-conscious medical practices. Many people stay for a long time at Premise Health. It is not a revolving door.
Cons
I received unprofessional behavior from human resources when requesting disability accommodations. I wanted to return to work and had a medical clearance to do so. I understand accommodation requests are a process that takes some time to resolve, but not one that takes multiple months to make a decision. The default response was to push me into more unpaid leave of absence, when I was trying to pay for rent, living expenses, and medical bills. I almost had to file an EEOC discrimination complaint to return to work. I am leaving the company for this reason. Pay is lower than market. Bonuses are non-existent. The company is quite healthy financially, even making multiple acquisitions. Workers don't receive fair cost of living adjustments or a share in the performance of their labor. 3% COLA is not enough when inflation is 3-4x that. They can afford to pay more, they just aren't. No room for advancement. I didn't see many people promoted during my tenure.

Great Concept / Poor Execution
May 25, 2023 - Physician in Elko, NVRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Most, not all, the local people I worked.
Cons
Constructive criticism was not only not encouraged, it was punished and retaliated. Management mismanaged the account, lost all local staff and had state government infractions

Pros
Teamwork is good. Dedicated healthcare professionals. Some of corporate is allowed to work remotely. I would recommend Premise Health to any employer as a provider for on-site or near-site health services. The co-workers are all trying to do their best.
Cons
Premise is an interesting company. There is almost a brainwashing campaign to convince you that Premise is a great place to work. They pride themselves on being named one of 5 best in Nashville or Mid TN but there is subliminal pressure on the employees to put in a positive review. There are some exceptional leaders at Premise and some marginal to bad ones. I have never seen a bad leader be asked to leave but the employees give up and go. Premise seems very top heavy. On compensation, only managers and above are eligible for bonuses despite their employees contributing to their success. They receive bonuses in addition to their already bloated salaries. If you are not a manager or above you are likely paid under market and told to be grateful because you are working for such a wonderful company that cares about you. Sorry but that doesn’t pay the bills. Premise is neither the best company I have worked for nor the worst. I can only speak as a corporate employee and I think it may be very different in the health centers where they are actually doing the healthcare part of the business. I am not sure I would recommend it to someone looking for a job unless they were entry level or management. This is not a company to grow with. More emphasis is given to onboarding than retaining.
