I have been working at Presby’s Inspired Life (Less than a year)

    Pros

The administration is made up of good people, who genuinely care about those they serve. They do lots of things, little and big, to keep up staff morale and to care for those who work here, and they seem to treat employees fairly.

    Cons

The don't deal well with tech, generally. Employees are barred from social media and other sites on company computers, which to me seems patronizing, as though we are all going to waste our time on Facebook all day. You can get access, but only by jumping through some hoops, and it's one site at a time. Support for tech I need to use has been kind of hard to coordinate; administrators don't quite get it and the tech folks are shared among several facilities and they sometimes treat us like we're stupid.

    Advice to Management

Stop blocking social media and stick to blocking only truly harmful sites--like porn. Ask employees what their tech needs are or how they could use technology to improve their work performance and make sure they have what they need.

    I worked at Presby’s Inspired Life full-time

    Pros

The residents are great - pay not to bad

    Cons

Not enough work for full time- could be poor management. Considering they want to sit in there office and watch tv.

    Advice to Management

Either make the jobs part time, or get new management

  3. "Great company; no room for growth after a point."

    Pros

Presby's Inspired Life provides; Customer Service Trainings, Leadership Trainings, Peer to Peer to Trainings, Opportunities to Develop, and Paid Time Off adds up quickly!

    Cons

Hiring process takes way to long; when first being hired. When applying for positions in house they do not periodically update applicants on the process or inform in house candidates that they are no longer being considered for the position. Presby creates new positions without posting them; so any persons interested can apply.

    Advice to Management

Require of yourself; what you expect of others.

    Pros

    Amazing residents and families
    Great benefits and policies
    Teamwork
    Extensive training
Every staff members' work is valued
    Cafe on site

    Cons

When I was a team member upper management changes hands often, but that is more of a past con as I hear staffing has remained stable.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work!

    Pros

Fun activities are occasionally planned and a big focus on events like Nurses Week and recognition of service milestones.

    Cons

The company culture is very old-school and a bit behind the times. Most full time employees are treated as hourly employees - there is very little flexibility (no work-from-home) even when there is access to email and servers remotely. In the corporate office, there is distrust amongst departments, and a very big 'who's to blame' attitude. Benefits are $$$$.

    Advice to Management

Most of the management needs an overhaul. Stop treating your employees like children - you'll get respect when you start treating people with respect.

    Pros

Benefit package is ok. Time off may be higher than other comparable companies.

    Cons

No support or job training. Very behind the times on use of mobile technology. Too much travel for short non productive meetings that could have been a ten minute conference call or Skype. HR only available to managers. Lots of 'forced fun' events that are 'mandatory'. A 'mandatory' picnic, for example!

    Advice to Management

    Support employees.

    Pros

Lovely place to work with very nice staff and residents.

    Cons

During my time there Presby experienced a great deal of transition and promoted inidviduals to positions at corporate level who had little to no experience in the sales and marketing field

    Pros

Presbys was an OK place to work for a short term. They have competitive pay, nice atmosphere, corporate lunches and the RESIDENTS are the best!

    Cons

Too much nepotism! They favor who they favor and if you're not it - good luck! The CEO is a bit off (sorta manic and lacks manners) and has everyone at corporate in a mother/child like state versus employer/employee professional working relationship. All the staff memebers seem to cringe, sit straighter and become her "yes men" in an instant. No room for growth or solid career paths. Coworkers are extremely clichish and backstabbers. Its corporate I guess. Every man for themselves here...
