I worked at Press Ganey as a contractor

    Pros

Flexibility in hours and the ability to work remote

    Cons

Not the company it used to be. They built the reputation on employers who are no longer valued. Leadership turnover is the highest it's ever been.

    Advice to Management

Go back to the roots. Look to the previous leaders who built the company. The current regime is killing morale and clients are going to continue to leave.

    Pros

You can listen to music and podcasts while you work. That is about it. Has a decent on site cafe.

    Cons

Management refuses to talk to you and tries to intimidate you. No feedback on errors you make. You will be penalized and not know why.

    Advice to Management

What is the point of documenting errors if you refuse to show employees?

I have been working at Press Ganey full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The company tells a very good story and leans heavily on what was at one time a respectable history.

    Cons

The company strenuously avoids hiring IT Professionals for their IT Departments and instead require degrees in math, psychology or theology from Notre Dame or ST Mary's. They insist on training their own IT Departments which would not be bad if their training manual consisted of more than ' google it '. Everyone in the Departments are self taught so no two people have the same skill set which again could be a strength except for the high turnover rate resulting in IT Senior Management answering inquiries about difficulties with ' that person doesn't work here anymore and no one else knows how it works so we're just not going to use it anymore.' Unfortunately the companies go to response for any difficulties is to hire yet another Senior Vice President which does nothing to address the companies significant technology based difficulties.

    Advice to Management

Try to see past how good an idea looks as a bullet point on your next presentation and recognize what it will actually take to make it a reality. Some times you need to look a little further than hiring another friend as Senior Management because right now it is the foundation that is crumbling and continuing to stack more and more weight at the highest level is only going to make it fall faster.

    Pros

The benefits are great. There is a lot of flexibility to take time off if needed. Not much else I can say is a pro.

    Cons

Management, inconsistencies across teams, lack of ability to move up or around in the company. Thoughts and ideas aren't too valued.

    Advice to Management

Hire managers that are fit to be managers. Create some consistency throughout different teams. Work on promoting from within.

I worked at Press Ganey full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Used to be a good company with realistic sales goals. Now it is full of cronies rubbing each other's backs.

    Cons

Horrible sales leadership. They have unrealistic expectations and do not live up to them themselves. Incredibly unsupportive and hypocritical. Sales at Press Ganey is now a revolving door with good sales people leaving or "resigning" on a regular basis. All of this stems from the top sales leadership's lack of character and professionalism, all the while creating a cutthroat sales environment. If you are looking for a job in sales, I would look elsewhere.

    Advice to Management

Leading through intimidation is not leadership.

    Cons

Before it was bought out by an equity firm, it was a very good culture. After the buyout, many employees were let go on a regular basis for no reasons given.

    Pros

Money but don't be fooled by the offer, you will be required to work 24/7 and that won't be enough

    Cons

Dishonest leadership, no work life balance, punitive culture, lack of leadership accountability, lots of turnover, technology highly inferior to competitors, massive workload, highly toxic environment, need I say more?

    Advice to Management

Gain a better understanding of what's happening at the local level, practice what you preach-implement the employee engagement strategies you teach clients at your org, it would go a long way to improving the culture
