I worked at Prestonwood Country Club part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Ability to earn small amounts of money to pay bills. Sometimes we get feed well.

    Cons

Hardly any training received and what ever training received is contradicted by managers. Pay is low for such an establishment. Management has no communication skills, no people skills, and overall has no expertise to do their jobs well. Staff is always being Berated and Belittled by management.

    Advice to Management

There is no point in giving them advice, they wouldn't lesson anyway.

I worked at Prestonwood Country Club part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Employee meal, and some great people you meet.

    Cons

Management needs to improve, needs to hire better people, that actually do their job, and not hire or keep people based on likability. non-tipping environment, there are times when you wish you were getting tips instead of hourly.

    Advice to Management

    HIRE BETTER PEOPLE

-cart staff is managed by someone other that the golf shop causing communication between golf shop and cart staff to be lacking at times causing unnecessary stress on each department

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. I would suggest having the golf shop manage the cart staff to make things smoother for both staffs.

    Pros

Kiss up to managers and you don't have to hardly work!!!

    Cons

felling of remorse for your co-workers that bust their tails working hard because they have morals and families to feed...but nothing a few drinks after work doesn't remedy...

    Advice to Management

keep rewarding those who are nice to you and allocate more work to those who are not.

I have been working at Prestonwood Country Club part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good benefits, 401K, friendly people to work with, the pay is very fair, room for growth into management/higher positions in the company, and a great general manager to work under.

    Cons

A few managers aren't headed in the right direction, sometimes the training isn't always the best and you find yourself re-learning some items later on in the job, and you work holidays/weekends regularly.

I have been working at Prestonwood Country Club part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Solid pay when compared to other places that don't require education. Hourly rate is $9.50 or $10 if you have experience. Minimum of 2% raise every year. Hours can be flexible. Staff is friendly.

    Cons

Not a good primary job to have, you don't get more than 30 hours a week consistently. Good place to work on the side while you are in school but not something I would invest too much in. Promotions/pay isn't merit based so not worth investing in.

I have been working at Prestonwood Country Club full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

the best facilities in the state. tons of money spent on creating beautiful facilities.

    Cons

management and supervisors and long-term staff members lack basic knowledge on doing their jobs. underutilized facilities.

    Advice to Management

resign your positions, or pursue more knowledge and education on doing your jobs. just because staff members been there for many years, it does not mean they are productive, it just means they know how stay employed at any means necessary.
