Pros
Leaving Pret was the best decision!
Cons
Expected to work long hours yet they failed to pay me for over a month. They put you on shifts you cannot do and have some of the most vulgar and worst attitudes. They also team up and talk rubbish about other team members and customers. Caught a few team members picking noses and have bad odour. Good luck with your stomach and covid19 eating from that place. The hygiene is ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!! Don't even start there!

Pros
Free food during meals. Free coffee all day. No need to wash uniform since they got a service that does it. Weekly pay. 401K and insurance for full timers. Pret party i guess.
Cons
Unreliable hours. Minimum wage. No Holiday pay at all, just 8 hours of PTO AFTER 6 MONTHS. No actual training, everyone is as lost as a recent hire. FAVOURITISM leading to lazy employees getting all the hours and good shifts. Night/closing crews hours suck, they have to do every thing morning people dont do and get on trouble if something is missed. Meanwhile morning people do the bare minimum and get praised and bonuses for secret/mystery shopper. When the Irish interns come for two months, they get 40 hours. While actual employees get their hours cut for two months. Pret parties are an excuse to get drunk on the companies dime while pretending that stores arent a dirty mess.

Pros
Rude and nasty colleaugess you’ll find only from Spain, Italian , South America and polish and few hungry. Most of them will speak to you with a condescending manner with a salty attitude. During my time they only given me pain and trauma. They will play mind games and will try to belittle you throughout employment. Many snakes around and can’t trust any of them. I remember this colleague of mine who barely can’t structure a sentence said something about Pret but when I said something he sneaky go and reported to the Assistant Manager by creating a unnecessary situation just to make things worst. If they don’t like you or if you have a different opinion they will make a hostile environment and the general manager and the assistant manager will behind it who is also behind it but will by being patronising just like Pret is a widely patronising company. The whole stuff at this company are very miserable and short tempered as they get weekly pay and because of that they think immortal but your only human and not live for ever. The pay is national minimum wage which is whack considering the amount of work they make you do is more than you can imagine. yet they say competitive but isn’t. Again dishonesty and you see you make below than what you think you make and annually. Payment is always missing and they don’t pay your hours correctly which is extremely unfair and bais. Your over worked and there is no flexibility you wouldn't see your house and family. It’s how they damage an employee mental health and physical health. Furthermore, There is more cleaning involved then cleaning so better off with a cleaning job so pretty munch more of a cleaning job than making coffees and customers service. They have favouritism in every part of the UK stores in every shop. They have their little bubble under disguise and most of them are truly ignorant with astonishing customer service which is very despicable for a customer service role. Hence, theyre very desperate for money that’s why every corner they have the same stores overall a very thirsty company. They sell peanuts on sandwich’s where they get all from wholesale and just spread it on a bakery bread where they get from wholesale. Most important thing about Pret is the stickers they label everywhere and make a usual medicare sandwich into something which is not. During my trial period they tried to close the fridge in me, given me an heavy trolly to take on another Pret close a to the Pret I was working in old street in Oliver yard and the trolly was over loaded so I can collapse with all the food in the middle of road while sending me on my own. They put expiry drinks near my bag in such way so it falls in my bag so my bag gets wet and they wanted to see if I steal any drinks while I see another colleague of their favouritism was just putting endless drinks in her bag like a shop lifter but if I do it it’s a problem. They make you wash chopping boards and knifes over and over again which is insensible act because your wasting and it’s bad for global warming too. They will talk backward with you by talking opposite of common sense. Also they constantly watch CCTV and watch the people they don’t like while they pot to humiliate and endure pain on them. They mostly use the gas lighting tactics to sabotage you so you loose hope and not be yourself anymore. If you message HR they avoid giving your payslip and say they cannot find you in the system with lies even if you give full details this then creates tension
Cons
Free food but it’s horrible everything is ready made and from whole sand. They transfer it to their own bottles and then sell x10 more by profiling customers
