Pros
Hours Weekends Off Salary is decent but could be more competitive
Cons
Unprofessional operation Managers (Constantly feel like we are in Dykman when Ops calls me and others 'mama'). Managers allowed to speak in other languages in a group chat (how is everyone supposed to understand?? A new Ops who seems to be on a power trip, one day you're being called my lovely the next day you are treated like you are incredibly stupid in front of others. Outdated systems. Uneducated staff that don't have any kind of conflict managing skills, their first reaction to every customer is to roll their eyes and be rude.

Pros
The food is good, by that time employees were able to eat for free during their work hours, and get paid for their breaks
Cons
if you agreed to work full time flexible hours you are condemned to pret to become the center of your life, you will not have time for anything else. In my opinion, this kind of job should be temporary because you are studying, or because you work on a personal project and you need a job like pret to get by. They are obsessed to make you feel that you have to work hard up until the point you have they feel that you work hard enough to break your back. Some managers just like to do simple things in the most complex manner to make the work difficult for you. There are a lot of non sense 'standards' you have to obey. if you work there without having in mind what to do with your free time you are dead. You will literally waste your life sweeping and mopping. if you have to work in there because you dont have any other option, do it but always have a plan to get as soon as possible from there

Pros
Wage higher than at competitors. Nice uniforms and provided laundry. Free food, paid breaks
Cons
As a person from middle Europe, I found the manager's attitude towards me discriminating. I was constantly expected to do a 3-person job. No support. Made up positions with higher salaries given to people who were simply friends with a manager. Keeping scores on a whiteboard to point at the slowest and the fastest from the crew. Manager incompetent, wrong person for this position. Enormous stress associated with mystery-shopper - a crew is kept on their toes around anyone, because of the fear to lose bonus that goes to everyone in the entire restaurant.

Pros
I came as a teenager looking for a summer job temporarily, and I can say I’ve met some of the loveliest people. Everyone’s so dedicated and hard working and there’s a mystery shopper each week and it adds a challenge to the job and certainly a fun aspect to earn extra money and potentially a personal reward for customer service performance.
Cons
Sometimes people come to me when referring and tell me they find the manager a little unprofessional and unorganised. Sometimes the team leaders can be quite intimidating

Pros
Free food, good coffee, company parties, some nice people
Cons
-Racist, non-inclusive environment that upper management and hr are fully aware of but ignore. The use of the 'N word' and many other racial slurs are common every day. You wonder how some of these people got hired into a customer service job. -Very political when it comes to treatment of certain employees -Unprofessional and low class work environment, with coworkers treating each other horribly, and also being disrespectful and rude to customers. Sexual harassment is also common. -Terrible management training program for new hires. Very little follow through and proper instruction in the shop. You're basically on your own. Some decent classes at the training center with good instructors but there are very few of those. -Most outside manager hires and many other employees come from traditional fast food and are really unprofessional and have very low management skills

Pros
Nothing. Favouritsm left many tms out.
Cons
The manager and team member came from the same family and they pinned tms against each other. It wasn't professional and no direction. This isn't a good company to work for, pay is not good and you work hard with little to no pay. I wouldn't recommend. The hardest part I found was the toxic culture.

Pros
Since covid most weekends was off, closed shops, hopeful Pret will go bankrupt.
Cons
Managers tend to be lazy and no clue to be able to help when things go wrong. They promote bad choices of people like staff who have been there a few weeks. Poor rate of pay. Very low for the work you put in. The management want you to take holidays, but then refuse dates that you chose. You end up getting allocated weeks off at inconvenient times! But the manager gets all the best dates, and more! Staff turnover is so high, because the managers can’t manage, and expect people to just know it all from looking at how to cards. They do not help new starters, just expect too much, so people leave.
