I have been working at Prezi full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

One of the best places I worked for. Company treats their employees like professional adults, no micro-management of work-hours, there are clear goals and expectations and you are trusted to get it done however you know best beyond that.

There has been very positive momentum in the past couple of months, a recent acquisition, lots of hiring and business growth.

Pay and benefits are great, unlimited vacation is real - no-guilt time off! - leadership is solid and knows what they are doing.

    Cons

    No real cons to name.

    Advice to Management

Keep the momentum and continue pushing.

Growth into new areas means adaptability to new goals and approaches.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing the right things, stay focused, and prioritize

I have been working at Prezi full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Strong employee culture, promoting within, and creating career opportunities for those who want to move upward. With any growing company, there are always new projects you can take on, and interesting / creative work. The product is good, the leadership is great, and the culture makes for a great place to work every day.

    Cons

You will need to be flexible, this is a growing company and things are constantly changing. If you want a very defined, specific job, this may not be the place for you.

    Advice to Management

Keep moving forward with the things you're doing and continue to drive growth.

I worked at Prezi full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Really solid engineering culture. You know it's good when you don't learn much from other companies.
    - Small enough for you to make an impact and push your own initiatives.
    - Lots of travel opportunity between the two offices.
    - Incredibly supportive and honest culture. People are very willing to be vulnerable with each other.

    Cons

    - The culture is so flat you often need buy-in from a lot of stakeholders before starting something.
    - Working between the two offices is a challenge, and folk knowledge developed in one office doesn't spread to the other.
    - Engineering largely became a repetitive exercise.

    Advice to Management

    - Loosen the reigns a little when it comes to new product ideas and features.

    I worked at Prezi full-time

    Pros

    - Great work life balance. Some meetings start early, but the day ends at 5
    - Small office, it can be fun
    - Tones of events, beer, food and a love for champagne (no special occasion required)
    - Pretty good perks (unlimited vacation, 4% matching 401k, great food/snacks)
    - You can work on absolutely whatever you want, regardless of how it helps the business, as long as it’s “cool” and “bold”
    - The product has a good brand

    Cons

    - Leadership isn't thinking of the company, only their egos. Some leaders are exceptionally bad, and they all like to pass the buck to people below them
    - The same leaders who didn’t raise a flag for years when the company was flatlining, are still somehow in charge of moving it forward
    - Extremely bad engineering and product culture
    - Unbelievable incompetence at all levels that goes completely unchecked
    - Whiney and blame-shifting co-workers, specially when they are under pressure
    - There is absolutely no synchronization between the goals of the Budapest and San Francisco office. The BP side is happy to be in the news and be considered a “visionary” company, they don’t care at all if we're making money
    - Most of the perks are BP focussed. For the same work, BP employees will be rewarded with a fancy extravagant boat party, while the SF office will get 1 beer (true story)
    - Leadership’s motivations are not aligned with the growth of the company. They’ve already made their money and now they focus on their LinkedIn followers and how many articles they can be quoted in

    Advice to Management

    - Stop focussing on the hype and the cliches, and start doing your actual job
    - Stop lying to your employees and the board by putting a “spin” on the numbers

I worked at Prezi (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Great Product and free meals.

    Cons

    1. Leadership doesn't practice what they preach, especially when it comes to the company's core values. 2. HR is seriously broken here and rules by intimidation. 3.Limited growth potential unless you're in Management's favor. 3. Recruiting process is tedious. 4. A lot of favoritism here.

    Advice to Management

Culture comes from the top-down. Some of leadership are un-approachable, un-supportive or unavailable. Support your teams for their success. You aren't the only game in town.
