    Pros

Flexible schedule, you are in charge with your kitchen, you are working in a clean environment, your wages are on time always.

    Cons

Ridiculous budgets and standards to achieve, struggling to train and keep staff. Really high turnover of employees. Stressful week-ends, really hard to motivate the team.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your employees, they will run your business better.

I worked at Prezzo full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Really kind and hard working people on floor and kitchen, who do their best to make everything work. There was a time (few years ago) when it was a really good company to work for, but it's going downhill for a while.

    Cons

It's only worth to reach the level of supervisor, maybe assistant manager. There is no bonus for almost a year already, they don't even bother to answer to the appeal form sent. Operation managers don't care about nothing but numbers, you can't even explain yourself, as they interrupt you in the middle of your sentence, shouting. Writing reports which are not true, and there's no way for us to prove the truth. No improvements, only cutting off everything, not letting you to have enough staff on shifts, making the staff who work running like headless chicken. Managers earning around £1 more/hour than a waiter is ridiculous. Of course they expect you to work 10-12 hours shift without break, and 60-70 hours per week, as they 'can't find anyone to cover', and if you signed the opt out form to work more than 48 hours/week, there is no further limit. And this is only half of it. Very unprofessional company. No wonder more and more GM and operation managers are leaving this sinking ship, even after 10 years with Prezzo.

    Advice to Management

Don't let your staff to suffer, disappoint and leave. If there is a serious problem in a branch, at least give a visit, restaurants are not machines, the staff are not robots, so numbers and graphs are not everything.

I worked at Prezzo part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    The pros used to be:
    good staff food
    fair tips
    good training

    Cons

Since working there all the pros were taken.
You can only get staff food through working long enough hours (not possible to part time workers unless you're a chef)
the kitchen staff were arrogant and open would shout across the restaurant ruining the experience for guests
all tips went to management by the end. I would only get £3 a week despite working every day evenings
The training I have been told has stopped which is a shame as this was very useful.

    Advice to Management

Do get involved with the work, I understand you are there to manage. But if it is a busy day, don't stand aside and watch the chaos only to intervene to talk to kitchen staff. Don't take all the tips due to seniority as the pay isn't the best and we rely on the tips. Besides, at the end of the night the working staff earns them.
