I worked at Price Modern part-time

    Pros

Price Modern has two office locations. One in Baltimore, the other in D.C. The facilities high quality - it feels like silicon valley in the office.

    Gated parking

Great people - Jeff, Tony, Derek, Lou, Mark, all great guys. Sales people are nice too.

    Cons

Although the office is close to an exit and close to the city, I would not want to walk around after hours.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing your thing, be open and respectful to employees, don't play favorites, etc etc

I worked at Price Modern full-time

    Pros

Great location and clean new space. Some people are great.

    Cons

They don't honor conditions in hire letter. No room for raises. Treatment of employees is not equal. Lots of favoritism.

    Pros

Compensation is commission so you can make a lot of money. You have a lot of freedom to set your own schedule, making appointments, being out of the office. Management is helpful by going with the account executive on a presentation to help with getting a deal closed.

    Cons

Work environment was not very friendly. People kept to themselves. This is a tough business if you have never worked in commercial furniture. Lots of detail to know the product. You need to develop lots of connections to make it work for sales.

    Advice to Management

If you are bringing on a sales person that does not have industry experience, make sure that sales person is paired with an experienced design and project manager.
