    Pros

Great environment to work. A lot of opportunities to learn and experiment. Since it's a national brand with tons of traffic tge company provides a lot of value for developers.

    Cons

    some recent org changes

    Advice to Management

    watch out for micromanagers

I have been working at Priceline.com (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Good work life balance, I was surprised some reviewer(s) said they have to be online 24/7 because that's not the case for anyone on my team... depends on manager maybe
    - Modern and evolving tech stack with encouragement for devs to experiment and learn new things
    - NYC office has a lot of smart and nice people and a good location
    - Compensation is fair for the amount of work you are expected to put in

    Cons

    - Claims to award advancement and pay increases for merit, but it's hard to tell if that's the truth or not, and long-term employees are not treated as well
    - Too much focus on process and making the numbers look good
    - Norwalk office environment is not as modern as NYC

    Advice to Management

    - Chillax with the agile stuff
    - Treat long-term loyal employees better with more compensation/pto/snacks/advancement... I've worked here for less than a year and even I can see that new hires are treated better, which is probably one of the main reasons the turnover rate has been high in the last year
    - Give the Norwalk office free snacks ;)

I have been working at Priceline.com full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The agile transformation is useful for my next job.

    Cons

priceline IT is becoming toxic. Especially the "calibration" review process: it allows mangers to play favorite and use non-goal issues to down grade employees. In addition, each group is required to have a set number of 3, 2, 1 rated individuals, regardless of their performance.

    Advice to Management

Rate individuals as individuals, how well they meet their goals (if they even have them), not compared to their peers. Use objective measures, not subjective mesures.

    Pros

Historically a Great work-life balance, but slowly dwindling due to new rule of being online 24x7 (slack, email, phone).
    Great stocks and bonus.

    Cons

New management treats women poorly. Not a place for a female to get ahead, get recognized, or even feel safe in her position.

    Advice to Management

Look closely at your recent management changes. You have some very bad people who are going to hurt your reputation. Treat all employees fairly. Stop promotions based on boys club and go back to performance based.

I have been working at Priceline.com full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Smart people, work-life balance, parking, access to gym and food.

    Cons

Over the last 60 days alone, priceline has lost several highly thought of, highly qualified, top performers who have left for better opportunities. Since the management change in summer of 2016, priceline has been losing people faster than they can replace them. New senior management seems completely oblivious, or just doesn't care. They are creating a culture where how close you are to Senior Management, most especially if you share certain "traits and characteristics" with them, will determine your fate. If you aren't part of "them", your days are numbered, either because you'll get terminated, or they'll make your life miserable and you'll quit.

    Advice to Management

    Get new ones!
