I have been working at Pride in North Carolina full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Working with a high needs populations. Office staff is great as well as is our immediate supervisor. Office location is great. New ownership.

    Cons

A new ownership group has come in, but unfortunately the same upper management staff are still on staff. Administrative, financial, business and personnel management are very poor. Staff have had check delayed on several occasions. Checks have bounced as well. CEO is arrogant and attempts to intimidate his staff. Much of the upper management is incompetent and ineffective. Company is dying in Wilmington because it cannot compete with more effective and efficient agencies in town. Salary structure is not competitive for the local market.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of Gary and the upper management staff. They were ineffective before and continue to be so.

    Neutral Outlook

I have been working at Pride in North Carolina full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexible work schedules, potential to earn a good salary, opportunities to help the community, able to meet great coworkers, able to establish community connections.

    Cons

New ownership only seems to care about revenue which has negatively impacted morale, ineffective communication, pay schedule and structure inconsistent, sometimes hard work and dedication goes unrecognized.

    Advice to Management

It would be beneficial to show more compassion for field employees since they are the ones generating revenue and providing direct services.

  8. "Bad place to work"

    Star Star Star Star Star
    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee
    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

Flexible schedules that are usually set by the employee depending on the position.

    Cons

The company will work you for an entire month but only pay you for they received payment for. The result is that you usually only receive 3 weeks worth of pay for 4 weeks worth of work. The remaining week is promised to you on your next check and you better PRAY that you get it. There is HIGH turn over which often results in the hiring of someone who is not qualified for the position that was vacated. This has happened with positions ranging from entry level to the actual site director for the Wilson office.

    Advice to Management

    Fire yourselves.

  9. "Excellent to work for in the beginning but is quickly going downhill with management changes and loss of company money"
