Several off-the-clock duties expected of you (i.e. conference calls, mornings, training, etc)

I worked at Prime Communications (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Sales experience is engaging and helps in the future
Can make pretty good money and advance quickly

    Cons

Expectations of sales goals and products to be sold did not always seem realistic, particularly for certain territories with lower income
Terms that dictated your commission changed pretty frequently

    Advice to Management

Do not be a fear-based manager. Lots of your employees will jump ship eventually to get away from the environment. Motivate your team with positive enforcement.

I worked at Prime Communications full-time

    Pros

This place is flexible with hours. You do get a 57% discount for working for this retailer. 500+ stores nationwide. personally moved from one state to another. Ability to get your hands on the newest devices and accessories coming out. Discounts on accessories too.

    Cons

pay plan sucks its always changing. I have been with this company for over 2 years and the plan has changed 7 times!! "more money for us" is what they say but its just easier for us to not meet goals since those change as well for the worst. health insurance is expensive.

    Advice to Management

stop changing the pay plan so much for your personal gain and let your employees make money so there wont be so much turn over on great loyal employees

I worked at Prime Communications full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pro's of working here are definitely a concept to those that choose to utilize and see them as such. However the 'official' perks all almost non existent if anything they are exactly adequate considering you should't have to pay full price for the service if you sell it. And this job provides a significant discount off monthly service from AT&T. However its nothing that any other vendor that deals with them doesn't get offered as well. So go figure. (57% off)

    Cons

The cons of employment are there should you desire to make any kind of significant impact in your pay or overperform. Pretty much the better you do the more things that before weren't an issue with management will now become prevalent. They reserve the right on paper and your employment contract to pretty much pay you what they feel you'll accept. And have the paperwork to back it up should you choose to dispute it.

    Advice to Management

Keep your work life balance at the forefront of your time here. I've seen them bring people up in the ranks and cut them loose to save face with their superior and so on and so forth. Things are never guaranteed, get whatever they say they'll give you in writing and do not ever bend to their will under the guise of "being a team player". I was able to keep it within reason as far as things I was willing to put up with in comparison to what I was getting in my commission bonus every month. It is not uncommon for Managers to make less than a slightly above average rep in commission. Keep your wits about you and only stay here as long as you feel necessary as job security was never a realistic concept. Slightly cultish as they will have you think its just former sour employees and deceive everyone into thinking any negativity towards the company are completely unfounded and not true.

Pay plans are changing monthly so reps are paid substantially less for their work. Company expects far more than they're willing to compensate their employees for

    Pros

Work/life balance. Meeting new people all day. Benefits.

    Cons

Shady sales environment, great if you have no morals. Pay. Management.

    Advice to Management

My advice to management would be to actually care about your employees as much as you boast about during your interview. Also take action against managers and sales reps doing illegal things rather than praising them and promoting them and then telling the customer to deal with it.

Great money and perks, great benefits, amazing leadership. If you are self-driven to meet the quotas, the reward is excellent. Opportunities and internal advancement all around.

    Cons

Extremely aggressive in sales approach and technique; goals/quotas chased aggressively and sometimes rather high. Atmosphere can sometimes be very high-stress
