I worked at Prime Communications full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Pay is good, especially for not requiring a degree or experience. The managers will usually work with you on schedules as long as you let them know in advance of commitments and such. This a performance based job so you have to have a lot of drive pretty much all the time.

    Cons

Some managers will let certain things slide but if they don't like you they will hide behind HR and policy to push you out. Prime doesn't like to fire people they like to make you miserable until you quit.

I have been working at Prime Communications full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Nice job made 30k+ at a very young age don't know of any other job that would pay a kid right out of high school that much. It's commission plus hourly, very laid back and easy works great with school. Co workers are the best, saying that I stay out of any drama possible. Managers and Dm are cool in my district. If your good at hitting metrics or lucky you get free stuff. Aright place to work beats hard labor definitely. Certainly not a career unless you plan to advance in the company. Commission is Not capped saying that there is a con. You got your "best coverage" to rely on unlike T-Mobile or sprint. You sale a variety of products( some co workers dislike this)

    Cons

(This is America so who doesn't complain lol)Hr pay is 10.10 needs to be higher, no raises unless you advance to Asm or manager (etc...) Hopefully you get hired with motivated and/or talented reps if not your screwed. When people quit it takes so long to hire new ones so most stores are understaffed meaning you work by yourself for hours. The worst thing is the commission pay plan it changes every other few months very hard to get adjusted (went from personal to store goals from there you got a percentage increase for your pay so far you get a bonus which very little reps get.Reps make less then they did a year or two years ago nobody really seems to care tho probably bc management praises the new pay plans like it's the best thing ever. Company penalize their employees for not hitting goals but your goals can be to unrealistic at times. Be prepared to have to do unethical work stuff just to hit goals.Your a salesman pretty much because the big money is in the commission so helping customers out really isn't the priority (not really a con)as long as the customer doesn't know that. IF you aren't in a high volume store or a store that doesn't hit goals you will most likely not make more than 900$ in commission. Sucks for most reps that hit their store goals but don't hit over 75 sales as you won't get your "fantastic" bonus... why even make store goals if your whole store isn't getting a bonus. They had to lower their minimum dtv quotas per employee/goals and opps(sales) most likely bc a lot of people ware quitting. You'll have reps that don't really care their just their for the hourly. The training is not there you just learned stuff along the way. Really no benefits
    It's a like/dislike relationship with this company.

    Customers
Yes you'll get your rude angry customers don't take it to heart it's not worth it you'll just build up anger towards people they don't know any better their privilege or it makes them feel good. Most customers are nice tho

    Advice to Management

    Pros

Nice people for the most part - can be a nice place to work - as long as you have blinders on.

    Cons

Most of the other. If you're not 25-35 white male, good luck advancing. Step back and take a look at their managers. All fit the same mold.

    Advice to Management

You have to show a path for advancement.... for everyone .... or you won't keep workers. If you do that, you may not need fake reviews.

I have been working at Prime Communications full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pay is great, compared to other Authorized Retailers and even COR stores. Hands on and one on one approach to training. Offers pretty decent benefits. Has a great team mentality.

    Cons

Pay structure changes regularly, and is based off of store metrics; if there's one bad apple on your team it could impact everyone negatively. I.E. When its good, it's great, when it's bad it can be very bad.

    Advice to Management

No advice, I really enjoy working here. I'd say there's a need for a 401k but that's going to be available soon, I hear.

    Pros

Tries to prioritize teamwork, instead of individual goals

    Cons

    Not an organized company
Places all responsibility on their employees without any concerns
The management will encourage you to feel so strongly about the company and about their new approaches, until you realize the nominal changes that are actually made

I worked at Prime Communications full-time

    Pros

Direct Management is friendly and can be very helpful. Commission and Bonus pay is one of the best in the industry.

    Cons

Upper management is not concerned with issues at store level and only looks at numbers and raw data without taking in consideration employees' needs and makes you feel very expendable. Training is unorganized, rushed, but perfection is expected without fault. Managers are not given enough information to help correct errors or expand their business. Staffing is an issue as the company is growing too fast...

    Advice to Management

Listen to your management staff, take time for one-on-one corrections to build a better business at store level. Don't be too quick to make decisions without corrective action first.

    Pros

Very laid back job. You will learn alot about people and products. No hard work is required. Perfect job if your looking for flexible hours during the week.

    Cons

In the beginning company was very much ok with fake accounts and/or using someone's social to slam them with products. Prime seemed to get away from screwing with customers and instead went after its own employee's. First off, your pay is IMMENSELY based on DTV. Which has been a part at&t for almost 2 years. Your pay WILL BE PENALIZED if you cant seem to somehow come up with DTV Sales. Every month goals are increased when the prior month goals couldn't even be met. Worst of all, when you do meet expectations, sell DTVs, and AAR, THEY DO NOT PAY! Home office will give you the run around. This company is perfect for an 18+ yr old who isn't worried about what they get paid. Any rep who can audit their sales and income will agree that as a Prime Communications representative, you will not be making any money!

    Advice to Management

No advice for management. Prime Communications is a shady company and anyone that's in management knows how to follow along and give prime what they want.

I worked at Prime Communications full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The people you work with are awesome. That's about it..

    Cons

First off, after a year of RSM, I can honestly say this company has so much turnover because they will NOT pay you out correctly! We have bills to pay this month and yet, they refuse to recognize the mistakes that they made and won't pay you for the work you Do. This is the second month in a row where they messed up and commission and we still didn't get money we worked for! WORST COMPANY EVER! If you work in retail/sales, then you know you need to money to live on, but if they won't work with you, what can you do? Oh yeah, when you contact commission department, they'll say, "We do not handle commissions, please contact revenue assurance". What kind of answer is that?! And they won't tell you what you get paid out until the day before they pay you out. The problem with that is, if there's a problem with commission like me and so many other people, they won't help you until the next month! Like all the other reviews, they will hack you in commissions.

    Advice to Management

Don't get greedy, show respect to your employees, and stop messing with our commission!!!

    Pros

It's a job only writing more now because it has to be 5 words.

    Cons

Pay plan changes every month to make the executives more money and make it sound like a pyramid scheme when they tell us about it. The goals are ridiculous and go higher and more unacheivable. It's a very buddy buddy system where the managers know the people who work in the home office and they all get away with fraud and special favors. The pay is a meager 10 an hour for a full time job. They take half your money if you miss a metric. The dms always come to the store and micro manage and literally always tell you about something new the company is pushing. No one even watches tv at home anymore (satellite) people stream. Keep up with the times. No one wants a satellite and your 95% reliability, the rain will still block your tv service. This is the scam. The money was ok now you would be happy to even get a 500 dollar commission check. The managers have to put up with this nonsense too and you know they don't believe it. The company is just poorly run. They don't care about you, they only want numbers and then when you find an error in their payout they tell you we will look into and you won't hear anything in months. Then when you do they tell you that it's past the 90 days and nothing can be done. They hoard all the money and pay us 5% of what they make this company is a complete joke

    Advice to Management

    None what so ever.
