I have been working at Primus International full-time for less than a year

    Pros

over time, weekend or night shift is wide open.

    Cons

management is astray fixing "problems" that don't affect the manufacturing of good parts. Machines are run down and not routinely maintained. Job scheduling is extremely inconsistent from day to day. scrap part counts are through the roof.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employee severance meetings and resolve the issues that are causing your new and long term employee's to seek employment else where.

I worked at Primus International full-time for more than a year

    Pros

-Fast paced environment. -Major learning experience, especially for examples of what not to do in a manufacturing setting.

    Cons

-Demotivated team, beat down from heavy turnover. -Demands project results, but is unwilling to devote the time to creating the necessary infrastructure. -Upper management, at least while I was there, was all talk. They would move plant to plant before problems were ever actually resolved. Often to "fix" more problems. -Bonuses was promised, but relatively nonexistent given the over-promising and under-delivering... that is rampant in both the contracts and general company atmosphere.

    Advice to Management

Find good employees, retain them. Chaos is no way to run a business, if you cannot provide incentive somewhere (like bonuses) find a more creative way to do so. Hire a more competent and comprehensive HR team (at least compared to 2016) one person cannot perform that job for that size company. Find managers that can actually give time and respect to their employees, and will actually manage.

I have been working at Primus International full-time for more than a year

    Pros

very chilled environment and flexible about your working hour and vacation. straight forward with management about your current work review.

    Cons

not enough training, and very hard to move from your position to different position other than actually having a certificate of machinist.

    Advice to Management

there needs to have a sustem where employees could have a chance to move to different branch of the work, because it is almost impossible other than actually going thru nearly 2years of education about a machinist certificate to become either inspector or machinist. There needs to be a training course where employees can be more resourceful to the company other than let them work like vegetable.
