    I have been working at Print Fulfillment Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    It’s all about points in the factory. I am gettin paid based on amount of work I produce. I like it because I make good money. The harder I work the more money I make. My family is happy because I can provide good living for my wife and kids. Never met the CEO, but local management is a good and cares about employees.

    Cons

    I am working nights. I get paid more for it. More to do and more points so more bonus. But the wife wants me on days!

    I worked at Print Fulfillment Services (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Work alongside some good people

    Cons

    Felt used, unappreciated, and (after being laid off) cast aside like rubbish

    Point system-- Sounds like "You work hard, get rewarded" but is really just a way to ensure employees steal work from one another, quarreling over a bone like coyotes

    Unreliable machinery

    Advice to Management

    Abolish the points system. PERIOD. It's nothing but trouble.
    Appreciate your workers, without them you are NOTHING. NOTHING.

    It may be difficult to believe this, but it is always hard for an employer to lay someone off. It's never taken lightly. Our points system is a way to ensure that these decisions are made... More

    Pros

    Good co workers and that is all I can say

    Cons

    The owner is very disconnected to his printing company. Turnover is the worst I have ever seen. Very dangerous area in louisville , shootings all the time right next to plant.

    Advice to Management

    Pros

    Nice eye candy working the presses

    Cons

    The building is located in the "butt crack" of Louisville, KY.

    Advice to Management

    Close this location down, the sooner the better.

    I worked at Print Fulfillment Services (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Pay is ok for the area. And that is it.

    Cons

    No benefits, extreme at-will employment, unsafe work environment, no background checks, no drug testing, lack of team work, no adherence to OSHA or other safety protocols, disgruntle employees, lay off are extreme, owner doesn't invest in his own company or safety protocols, lack of training, work logs, maintenance manuals, and lack of workforce leadership.

    Advice to Management

    Not sure if management even cares or pays attention to any advice given. The company is only as strong as its people. I see this company going down a bad spiral and has the potential to grow, but will not since it is privately owned and has little to no concern in making more profits. If I was the owner or the manager, anything that had to do with the safety and well being of my employees would be handled promptly. The company has the potential to be better than what it is currently. It could be more innovative and enjoyable to work if the environment presents its self. I was hoping to get a chance to build the company up and see an increase of 120% or more, but I can clearly now understand that the owner and management cares little for real profits and more about power.

    There were no benefits to this position once I accepted the job.

    Cons

    I worked at Print Fulfillment Services full-time

    Pros

    * No Weekends to work, very seldom is a Saturday needed.
    * Free Coffee
    * Free Oatmeal
    * Reasonably priced concessions for employees while working.

    Cons

    * Employment is through temporary agencies. Managers included.
    * Stressful work environment brought on by upper management.
    * Managers required to work 12 hour shifts by owner in many instances.
    * Bad part of town.
    * Compensation could be considered questionable due to "bonus plans".
    * No matter how hard you try it seems that there is always something wrong with what you do, there are no pats on the back only extreme micro management from the top.
    * Your past job experience will get you in but after that it means little.
    * Finally, if you have been in the printing industry for some time you will be shocked at what you will enter into. No industry norms here.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to the people who work for you and work together to do great things. Continue to do the extreme micro management style that is in place and it can only lead to disaster.
