Safe company with job stability. Management doesn't hire/fire indiscriminately and they give you a longer rope to learn.
No variety in work and compensation and perks are very poor. The company growth is marginal and the management is just not aggressive to grow business. Consequently, the compensation is below par the industry standards. Of course, with lack of growth, there is no variety in work and this leads to career stagnation.
Advice to Management
Grow the company. Think outside the box. If others can do it, so can you. There is no reason to not grow. Organic growth can and will happen. Growth doesn't necessarily mean that we do work outside our core business. Software development is a vast, deep field and a company can grow within that arena quite a bit. Thousands of companies have done that. There is no reason to not compensate the employees on par with the industry standard. End of the day, you get what you pay for!
