I worked at Prisma Health Upstate full-time

    Pros

Room for advancement. Largest healthcare system in area. Good benefits

    Cons

Varies by department, but the Department Management staff I worked with were backstabbing, cut-throats who were in it for themselves and no one else. You could not trust anyone, including your co-workers, because of our Management Staff. They're all smiles an loving to your face but WATCH OUT. You'll get thrown under the bus in a heartbeat!!

    Advice to Management

When you realize you've hired a bad Manager/Direcgtor/etc. - get rid of him/her asap. The overall DAMAGE poor Management does to GHS is much worse than keeping a poor performing manager in place just because you don't want to have to go through the timeconsuming hiring process.

I have been working at Prisma Health Upstate part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Many locations in the state. Easy to transfer locations. Average pay. They offer good benefits. A growing company. Not for profit.

    Cons

Average pay. Difficult to move up the ranks. Lots of drama throughout the hospital regarding poor management and understaffed departments.

    Advice to Management

Follow through. Follow up. Take action. Provide the tools needed for employees to complete their jobs effectively. Too much red tape.

I have been working at Prisma Health Upstate full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Good benefits, nice facilities, better compatibility between outpatient and inpatient with Epic EMR

    Cons

A lot of employees are bitter, lower pay compared to other employers in the area, small percentage of pay increase at yearly reviews

    Advice to Management

People want to work for GHS, so pay them that way or else there will keep being turnover to other area employers
