I have been working at Privia Health full-time

    Pros

The people are amazing to work with and bring great energy into the office. Privia is dedicated to helping independent physicians succeed in the complex healthcare environment today as well as ensuring they have future success. This in turn helps provide top of the line care to millions of patients all across the country! Knowing that this purpose is behind your work day in and day out, is not only rewarding but can...

I have been working at Privia Health full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

This was my first full time job out of college, somewhere I thought I probably wouldn't be for more than a year or two and I just passed my three and half year marker. I have been afforded opportunities here at Privia that I just don't think I would have gotten at a larger company. I've been able to work with important clients and on big projects, I've gotten to step into a managerial role and I've been trusted to help...

    Cons

    - Need to be good at advocating for yourself (no one is going to hand you promotions, new opportunities, etc.) - Company priorities can sometimes be difficult to flesh out when you get down to how it manifests on a department level

I have been working at Privia Health full-time for more than 2 years

      Pros

At its core, Privia has a unique and valuable product to offer. There are some growing pains that are affecting the customer experience, but overall, there is a really solid purpose behind what we do here. If you are motivated and comfortable functioning without too much support or guidance, there is a great deal of opportunity for you to succeed within this organization.

      Cons

That being said, you need to be motivated and comfortable functioning autonomously to some degree. Leadership and management varies greatly from team to team, as does burnout/turnover.

      Advice to Management

Invest in your managers and make sure they are investing in their teams. Don't overlook the value of a strong company culture.

I worked at Privia Health full-time for more than 4 years

      Pros

Smart people and a meaningful mission. It’s a good opportunity to see how intelligent and driven people handle a complex and toxic work environment!

      Cons

Too much of the quality of your experience is decided by luck and timing and the politics of who your boss is and the relevance of your department. You might have a positive experience, but chances are it’ll be a nightmare.

      Advice to Management

Don’t view employees as only something to extract as much value from as possible. Support and enable them instead of simply applying pressure (see other reviews).

I worked at Privia Health full-time for more than a year

      Pros

You get to work from home

      Cons

No one knows what they're doing here. Every associate has their own specific way of doing things, it could be right or wrong but no one knows. This is the most unorganized company ive ever worked for in my life. Im actually surprised they're still in business. It's crazy because when the customers call in they have no clue of what 'Privia' even is. Nothing but a scam. The poor patients have no clue when their doctors...

I worked at Privia Health full-time

      Pros

You are surrounded by smart colleagues and the mission at its core, is an easy mission to get behind

      Cons

A sense of distrust and anxiety is perpetuated across the entire organization within every market. There is a severe lack of transparency from the leadership level as well as middle management that makes employees feel concerned for job security, career growth, and long term potential of Privia. There are no longer opportunities to get to know people outside of your team, and the office space creates a culture of isolation...

      Advice to Management

Echoing what has been said before, invest first an foremost in effect external management training, treat everyone in the organization with respect, and provide opportunities for growth, learning, and development at every level. Evaluate market trends, and understand how to compensate people fairly and adequately so they don't keep leaving.

      Pros

There are some wonderful people at Privia, but I feel compelled to write this based on my poor experience.

      Cons

Below are some quotes from other reviewers that I found to be true. "Be prepared for a cut throat mentality and unrealistic expectations set by management." "Under-resourced" "Employees are overworked and under compensated." Advice to Management

Invest in your people. They are your greatest asset. The turnover must be costing the company a great deal of money and I was not even privy to all of it. Investing in your people will bring a greater return to the company in the long run.
