This is a very good company to start with and learn from. A lot of very nice people work here.

    Pros

Flexible schedule. Cheap dental plan. Easy ADP access to your account. They have a 401K but do not contribute. Pro health also offers medical, but it is far too expensive.

    Cons

Expensive medical insurance, bad management, and a very short staffed hostile working environment. A 3% raise, no matter how hard you work.

    Advice to Management

Get faster servers, your software seems to be down a lot.

I worked at ProHEALTH Care Associates (NY) full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I learned I’m worth more than that place.

    Cons

Prohealth runs things shady from the top down. My biggest concern is that they overlook violence in the workplace. They sweep it under the carpet. I witnessed verbal assaults, physical threats and abuse that were reported multiple times to Human Resources and no action was taken. It is unsafe and had to file police reports against staff members for my own safety. They do not take violence seriously until you involve lawyers.

    Advice to Management

If after 25 years of working in that industry maybe it’s time you wave the white flag that you’re in the wrong field. From David cooper down need to down. They are should be investigated.

I have been working at ProHEALTH Care Associates (NY) full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

It’s almost impossible to get fired.

    Cons

When Prohealth takes over your practice they tell you over and over again “ it will business as usual “. That’s true.... only for the honeymoon period. They then begin to systematically change each and every thing for the worse. Eventually you are way overworked and underpaid. When staff leaves ( which they will in droves) they are not replaced. You will find yourself doing the job of three people. When they stop dragging their feet and finally hire a new staff member they are generally under qualified so they are of little help it’s almost impossible to get fired. I have seen employees get away with the most outrageous behavior and at most they get a written warning, which means nothing. Raises are almost nonexistent. You have to jump threw hoops yearly in the hopes of obtaining 2%. The benefits are awful. The so called health insurance is not affordable. The vacation time is accrued monthly so maybe if your lucky you have enough time accrued by June to take a vacation. The computer system is awful and the IT department is horrendous. Corporate biggest concerns are legal. So the spend most of their time making evacuation plans for one story buildings, having fire drills, hand washing classes and the like. Meanwhile important clinical diagnostic equipment is broken ( even though its vital to the practice and revenue generating). Honestly I could go on and on.

    Advice to Management

    See cons for starters.

    Pros

    Flexible Schedule
    Cafeteria is available in quad

    Cons

    SUPER Expensive health insurance
    Long probation period
    30 Min. of Lunch

    Advice to Management

Don't just try to expend the company, but watch over the ones that you already have. Please have a way to lower insurance expense.
