Challenging work, flexibility, company cares about its employees, competitive pay, growing company, paid training/development, continued process improvements/streamlining, strong leadership/vision & limited bureaucracy.

    Cons

None, that I can think of but, continue to look at improving PTO policy & benefits

    Advice to Management

Continue to listen & invest in your employees, automate/streamline processes & never lose your edge for innovation.

I have been working at ProKarma as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

As a seasoned provider of software solutions ProKarma has a big footprint with many local clients.

They're strengths are in CRM, healthcare, and mobile solutions that require a quick turnarounds.

    Cons

The hiring team in Denver is unprepared and I've seen first hand decision makers show up late to agreed upon interview start-times.

    It's not a one off.

    Advice to Management

Show the interviewees you respect their time and strive to give them a good experience.

The market for talent is competitive here and it only takes one bad experience to chip away at good karma we've built.

Management should realize to work the genuine people.

    Pros

Great Culture. It does care of their consultants. Great company for mid level career.

    Cons

Not sure how to move up the ladder due to very flat structure.

    Advice to Management

Spend less on golf and more on bonus.

I worked at ProKarma (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Fast growing company and a good learning experience

    Cons

Very disappointing benefits, holidays, and PTO days. I have never seen a company offering only 6 days of annual holidays which is way below the industry standards. The medical premiums are very high and the benefits are not even close to a decent plan. The annual raises and bonuses are completely unsatisfactory.
There is absolutely no flexibility and work-life balance is awful. They expect you to be at calls with India late at nights and early in the mornings and offer no flexibility in work hours or options to work remotely. The management never shares any information on company's growth vision and there is absolutely no transparency.

    Advice to Management

The benefits, holidays/time-off need to be drastically improved in order to retain good talent. If you do not offer flexibility no one would stick around when every other company is offering more and more flexible work culture. Open the doors of communication because employees want to know where the company is going.

I have been working at ProKarma full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good benefits; local team management great; company is growing; local office feels more family oriented than other companies; most of the time, your opinion does matter

    Cons

    - HR policies do not apply to everybody, there are definite favored groups and individuals
    - Overall management team should learn to lead by example, "do as I say, not as I do" just isn't working
    - Annual employee reviews are never on-time and pay increases are pathetic
    - Required company related travel on your own charge card, really?

    Advice to Management

Make all of your employees feel like they are appreciated regardless of their position. Work on keeping the productive employees and those with potential and not just keeping somebody employed because you need to fill an empty seat. An office corporate charge card would make work related travel much more convenient.

I have been working at ProKarma full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Work / Life balance is good. Always pay on time.

    Cons

Little or no communication from the HR or management. No employee relations. No one cares about anyone else. Lot of bureaucracy, no long term vision. Poorest management ever seen. Treats employee as a labor, if project is over employee is let off (even for full-timers) with no notice period. No culture or team work.

No one knows what's happening in the company, client engagements, projects or resource requirements - everyone throws the ball to someone's else court. Ask the person who sent out the email for some referral positions and you end up finding six different people in the chain to get to the point that you complete a full circle.

Very poor reimbursement policies and takes months to actually reimburse (needs four different people to get through).

There are on average 10 non-billable staff to every one billable employee.

    Pros

There's not much good to say. Paychecks showed up. That's about it.

    Cons

No communication on projects. No leadership or go to people. HR is very weak. Poor project starts. You are basically on your own.

    Advice to Management

People are an asset. The company must figure out if it's a body shop or an I.T. consulting firm. Modis, TEKSystems and Kforce have you beat.

I worked at ProKarma full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Placed me at a GOOD company; but I hear that's not normal.

    Cons

Promise you something then go back on their word. Unethical, unscrupulous and cold. You are a money sign to them and they could care less about you. Expect you to work weekends and late nights then lay you off on Monday. Horrible "benefits". Will tell you how great company is doing and under pay you.

    Advice to Management

You are running out of resources to USE. Maybe it's time you start treating people with respect so you can have people want to return to your company.
