I have been working at ProKarma full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

ProKarma is the best employer I have worked so far. Very open and easy going culture. Access to management is very easy. Every one is here to help. Work compensation and benefits are above market.

    Cons

PTO is less, event some client public holidays are counted as PTO (not good).

    Advice to Management

You are doing the best in terms of business. However there is a room for improvements when it comes to employment benefits and social activities.

I worked at ProKarma full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

As the Org is growing, there are certain initiatives put in place for the benefits of employees including L&D. Unlike a review that there is no bench policy beyond 15 days, I have seen employees on bench for up to 6 months. If someone is let go with 2 weeks notice, thats likely because of performance issue

    Cons

There are pains of growing Org but some proactive measures can be put in place to listen to employee's feedbacks and act upon them

    Advice to Management

Adapt as the client demands are changing

  3. "Good company but should push back more on customer's unrealistic expectations"

I worked at ProKarma full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    You get paid on time.

    Cons

ProKarma has a LOT of contracts so this probably does not apply to them all. The customer in this case was a brand new one that ProKarma took over and was expecting pretty unrealistic results from ProKarma. ProKarma just seems hesitant to push back on unrealistic customer expectations. It was somewhat telling that the majority of my co-workers were re-located from out of town and/or were on H1Bs.

    Advice to Management

If you can, hire as many H1Bs as you can since they have to put up with unrealistic conditions without complaint. While that may sound tongue in cheek, if employee retention is your goal, having a captive audience would help. In my case, being a US citizen, I could just find something that gave me a better work/life balance.

I worked at ProKarma full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Only good until you are a billable resource

    Cons

You are fired after 15 days if not billable (i.e. bench).
This is what they did to me. They hired me as Solution Architecct and then never used me in that capacity as they never had that role open that they could fund. They abused my employment. Somebody need to sue them for this act.
Do not have more client base

    Advice to Management

Fire the non productive management staff. Treat full time employees as assets than liability

I worked at ProKarma full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Innovative company with exposure to cutting-edge technology. If there is a better way of doing things, ProKarma will be on top of it. CTO, Vijay Ijju, is always one step ahead and sees the big picture.

    Cons

    - Benefits are bad. 2 weeks PTO, 0 sick days.

    - Indian dominated company. Whites are the minorities here. They will hire Indians over Americans.

    - Salary is based on your past history, not market pay. Don't ever make the mistake of telling the recruiter your current salary. Came to find out coworker with the same job title & experience was making $20k more.

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees at least market value and treat them equally, regardless of the job title.
