I have been working at ProKarma full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Little to no bureaucracy and very big aspirations
    - Family atmosphere (in Seattle at least – can’t speak to other offices) and a good focus on investing in relationships
    - Very adaptable – ProKarma sees market opportunities and they go for it.
    - ProKarma is willing to try new things while still maintaining their core competencies.

    Cons

    - Things are moving fast – it puts stress on existing processes
    - I’d like to see even more investment in intellectual property. There is some – but I would like to see more

    Advice to Management

Keep the focus on building relationships with clients and consultants.

I have been working at ProKarma full-time

    Pros

None. Everything about the company is negative.

    Cons

The involvement of Carlyle Group has made things even worse.

    Advice to Management

    Give up... it's over.

I have been working at ProKarma full-time

    Pros

ProKarma is the best consulting firm I have worked for. Easy to do business with and very flexible. Good focus on leading technology and good talent. Down to earth executives.

    Cons

Definitely some growing pains offset by hard work and good attitudes. Some career path definition for consultants would be a useful step.

    Advice to Management

Continue to invest in career path development.

I have been working at ProKarma full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Nothing pros regarding the company

    Cons

    Lots of micro management.
You don't see future career growth , it stops within a year .
They even don't care about employee words

I worked at ProKarma full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There aren't any. Employees are miserable resulting in a terrible working environment. As KARMA goes....it is finally starting to catch up with them.

    Cons

Founders operate under a shroud of secrecy. There is zero communication regarding company strategy.
Distrust is rampant, both from management and employee perspective.

    Advice to Management

Portraying a culture of family, values, and corporate responsibility is a blatant misrepresentation. It is one thing to not operate under these principles, but to list these as " values" on their website is a complete misrepresentation. Any current or past employee will tell you the same.

I worked at ProKarma full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

If you are on Project then no one will bother you. Their immigration dept. (Vikram Mehta) is pretty good. They will take care of your expenses incurred at client location.

    Cons

As soon as you are out of project, better find something soon or they will take you out at like a fly. I was with them for more than 5 years. They didn't think twice before making a decision or giving me any alternative. Sucked big time.

    Advice to Management

Don't be so cold hearted. Karma will bite you back individually. It's just the matter of time.

I have been working at ProKarma (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great growth company. Forward thinking, cutting edge in terms of forming Centers of Excellence and using industry best practices to help their customers create efficiency and save money. Over the years you get to work for many different customers in different industries

    Cons

For a 150+ Million dollar a year company, throwing off profit at 30% margins, they are a little too focused on a bench of less than .05% of the total employees. I think they could stand to have a larger bench and work on more internal projects between assignments.

    Advice to Management

loosen the purse strings a little and focus on having (and keeping) the best talent, and you will win more deals with that available talent.
