I have been working at ProKarma full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Little to no bureaucracy and very big aspirations
    - Family atmosphere (in Seattle at least – can’t speak to other offices) and a good focus on investing in relationships
    - Very adaptable – ProKarma sees market opportunities and they go for it.
    - ProKarma is willing to try new things while still maintaining their core competencies.

    Cons

    - Things are moving fast – it puts stress on existing processes
    - I’d like to see even more investment in intellectual property. There is some – but I would like to see more

    Advice to Management

Keep the focus on building relationships with clients and consultants.

I worked at ProKarma full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

If you are on Project then no one will bother you. Their immigration dept. (Vikram Mehta) is pretty good. They will take care of your expenses incurred at client location.

    Cons

As soon as you are out of project, better find something soon or they will take you out at like a fly. I was with them for more than 5 years. They didn't think twice before making a decision or giving me any alternative. Sucked big time.

    Advice to Management

Don't be so cold hearted. Karma will bite you back individually. It's just the matter of time.

    Pros

Nothing has changed for the better

    Cons

Formerly Mantis Technology Group. Nothing has change for the better after the acquisition. Prokarma kept on the same Mantis "technically challenged" management group. Expertise is claimed to obtain a client then developers are expected to "become" the expert without any resources or training.

    Advice to Management

Obvious, hire managers who understand technology and support your developers. Give them the tools to make them successful instead of setting them up for failure.

I have been working at ProKarma as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

After haggling with them for a bit I was able to get a good pay rate.

    Cons

They are very deceptive. First off before I considered the job they were offering me I asked about benefits & how much they would cost. They quoted what I was lead to believe was a monthly amount. It turned out to be a per paycheck amount, which meant it was double what I thought it was.

Much worse was the employment terms. I was told I it was a 6 month contract. They lied it was only a 6 week contract. It turned out that their contract with the client was for only 6 weeks with a possibility of extending to 6 months. I was told it was a 6 MONTH contract. I was never told it was only 6 weeks with a possibility of extending. One day I came to work, after having been there for several weeks and was told the job would be ending in a few days. I would never have taken the job if I knew it was only for 6 weeks. I never got an apology or any compensation.

    Advice to Management

    Be honest
