Pros
They help with all levels of education
Cons
It’s a 3 person department and we work all day alone

Pros
None, nothing good has come out of this buy-out. Aston Healthcare bought the Promedica buildings in Sarasota Fl.
Cons
New company came in with unrealistic expectations. All we hear is "The expectation is". No matter what department you are in or your title. In the short 3 months Aston Healthcare has taken over, we have lost our Administrator, DON, Directors of Dietary, Maintenance, Activities, Medical Records, Unit managers, Business Office, Housekeeping and cooks. They came in stating they would fix the issues in the building, we had no hot water for 3.5 weeks, no AC on half of the building, the roofs leaks when it rains, the wallpaper is torn off the walls, the carpet is stained beyond redemption, no ice machines working on units, 75% of staff are agency and care is beyond bad. Stay far away from this company Aston Healthcare for employment or residence for a loved one.

Pros
I might be in a negative head space, but I cant think of any pros. I guess the experience is a bonus.
Cons
People are unprofessional. You take a course where you learn about work place violence and how it can be verbally--not just physically. Working here, I've been verbally abused, belittled, and dismissed. You're expected to go above and beyond and management does not help. The work load is supposed to be split up between office manager and TC if there is only one, and that's now how it goes at all.

Cons
Lower pay than other companies offer

Pros
I believe my work location provided generally good care to the residents, but I have heard horror stories about other locations
Cons
*Company's actions are dictated only by the bottom line, not care of residents; *management staff are TERRIFIED of corporate which influences their decision-making towards the unethical; *the interview process is intentionally misleading; *the business model is outdated with a used car salesman's mentality; *written policies and unwritten processes are heavily skewed to benefit the company with no attempt to treat employees fairly; *staggering turnover rate with many vacancies and short tenures at site management level positions; *no work-life balance; they consider 1 week vacation a "generous" time-off benefit; *supervisors begin calling at 6am daily and often continue for 12-14 hours, including weekends; *the company is so shady you have to read all the fine print and ask for written confirmation of unwritten procedures

Pros
I love the people I work with; people get into healthcare because they care and want to help patients. Working in healthcare is very fulfilling on a soul level. I have had multiple opportunities to learn new skills and programs here. Decent health insurances/benefits and paid vacations.
Cons
Opportunities for upward growth currently limited d/t Covid changing the industry. Possibly more opportunities in the future when the industry stabilizes.
- 4.0Aug 28, 2023Registered NurseCurrent EmployeeWalnut Creek, CA
Pros
Employees are nice and professional
Cons
Under staffed often times but management are doing its best to find a reliever
- 2.0Mar 6, 2023Anonymous EmployeeCurrent Employee, more than 3 yearsWalnut Creek, CA
Pros
Good benefits and good pay. Like with any workplace, you have people that you get along with but that's just life. The company didn't create people. They just happen to be there.
Cons
Toxic work environment, lack of leadership, no opportunity for growth; therapy department only cares about productivity; the company is not patient-centered, lack of staff appreciation, co-workers who are out of line or misinformed. The administration is not good. HIGH turnover rate. So many great staff members have left or plan on leaving, and very little is being done to retain individuals.
