I have been working at Professional Compounding Centers of America full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Offers good benefits (medical, dental, vision, life, 401k), fun company events such as company picnics, Wacky Wednesdays and holiday parties

    Cons

I've been an employee with PCCA for several years now and I must say the company is not what it use to be. For the first few years the company was great. From the time you walked in the door to the time you left, you felt like you were part of a great organization. Over the last couple of years the company has changed tremendously. A company that has taken so much pride in projecting such a great culture is tearing the company apart.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to get on the same page. Make the company great again. Stop focusing on the rating of the company and focus on your employees. Treat people with respect. Hold everyone accountable and not just a select. Wake up PCCA because you are losing great people.

  3. "Company not what it use to be"

    StarStarStarStarStar

    Pros

Fun culture activities, like halloween contest and company picnics. Company provides good benefits such as medical, dental, vision, 401 (k) and flexible spending.

    Cons

Managers pick favorites and if you are not on the top of the list you can forget about any opportunity for growth. It also seems like you have to brown nose yourself to the top in order to get anywhere in the company. Unfortunately there are also awful managers that use scare tactics to manipulate their teams.

    Advice to Management

Strategic managers need to stop focusing so much on culture and more on the concerns of their employees. Great talent is walking out of the door because you are not willing to replace managers that treat their team badly. Managers need to start being accountable for their actions or you will keep losing great people.

I worked at Professional Compounding Centers of America full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

*There are truly some amazing people within the company. Passionate, caring, dedicated, and innovative.

    Cons

*The operations department is run by fear mongering and popularity contests.
*Disconnect between senior management of operations and the regular workforce.
*Atmosphere of fear and intimidation in operations and leaders who thrive on fear, intimidation, excluding others, and bullying.

    Advice to Management

*Have an way to anonymous voice concerns without having to provide details about yourself....with small departments it is too easy for people to identify those who voiced concerns and retaliate.
*Allow equal opportunities for training and development.
    *Be more transparent and open.

Listen to all of your employees, Believe and act on what you hear, Realize that employees are not going to be 100% honest because they are scared of retaliation, Realize that culture is not more important than honesty and trust, Communicate clearly and consistently

    Cons

Some managers had favorites which could be seen as negative thing. Treat all your employees the same. But I guess every company has one of those.

Treat all your employees the same.

    Pros

    Occasional company lunch
    Some people were good
    Training provided
    COO was okay
    Useless

To much work for how less they pay you
    To much company drama

    Advice to Management

Managers should get training on how to help employees become better instead of micromanaging their time and work. Also provide employee to grow within the company. There are no growth opportunities.

    Pros

In an effort to maintain employee morale, many culture events and team building activities are put on by the Culture Committee.

    Cons

Communication style for management under the Operations umbrella consists of demeaning, name calling, and reprimanding out in the open type behaviors. Fear of retaliation from management is evident among hourly workforce based on historical situations.

    Advice to Management

Advice to Executives: bridge the gap between them and hourly workforce. Talent is walking out the door.
