I have been working at Project Resource full-time

    Pros

Clear transparent training on what is expected, from day 1 The opportunity to earn a salary above that of your peers The opportunity to travel Lots of socialising and events Visible management team who are prepared to get their hands dirty Great office in Solihull

    Cons

Working in recruitment is stressful but you get out what you put in at this company. Recruitment isn't for everyone but if you have ambition and a drive to succeed then you can be a success here. As with all recruitment jobs there is an expectation upon joining that you will work long hours but, this is to establish yourself with your candidates and clients and is what then leads you on to making commission.

    Advice to Management

Empower people further to allow them to reach their full potential.

    I worked at Project Resource

    Pros

I worked at Project Resource for almost 4 years and really enjoyed it (although like every company it does have its challenges). This is a company with big ambitions who want to have fun along the way. There is a lot of of incentives in place to motivate sales staff so if you have the right drive to succeed then you can experience a variety of trips, days outs and additional rewards.

    Cons

Like every business there are some cons but these are outweighed by the positives.

    Advice to Management

Keep communicating regularly to employees and ensure that they are aware of the current business goals and priorities.

I have been working at Project Resource full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

It's a fun place to work. It's incentive driven so a great place for motivated people to work. Competition is high, to you're always kept on your toes. Rewards are plentiful and I was amazed at how well they look after you. I've travelled to many places in Europe and globally paid for by Project Resource, just for doing well at my job. So cool. In three years I've been promoted 3 times and now working towards a...

    Cons

There are no cons for me. The company is very ambitious, so anyone looking for an easy ride will not last here. If you are motivated to succeed, you will be rewarded in a real meritocracy.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing. It's a massive inspiration to know I could be a future Director.

    I worked at Project Resource

    Pros

Small teams mean there is a huge opportunity for individuals to progress quickly and without management barriers. Its a bit of a blank canvas in the market place meaning that nothing is just given and you have to go out and win your place in the market. Its easy to hide behind a company name as the reason you can work with them, or use that as your sell to who you can deal with but the real truth is its up to, or down...

    Cons

Business Model is set up that only the top people survive and stay with other good consultants falling away at the mid point due to frustrations about what is expected No room for Mid-Level performers which could benefit the business to grow in the long run Lack of key/hot clients means new business is required constantly - difficult for new staff Caught between competing with the bigger companies for volume business...

    I worked at Project Resource

    Pros

None - sold the dream and it every but the dream. Unfortunately no pros to add.

    Cons

Bullying 'boys club' environment. All the women leave because it is sexist and inappropriate language and behaviour occurs constantly. Inconsistent management style with bully tactics used. Ridiculous amount of hours are expected and there is constant shame for under performers.

    Advice to Management

Adjust attitude starting from the top.

    I worked at Project Resource

    Pros

    - Competitive salary - regular social nights - directors always available for advice

    Cons

I worked at this company for under a year. As you would expect from a recruitment company there was a very high turnover- this included directors, staff who had been there over a year and people who had only been there for 1 week. Many people found it difficult to get regular/ large commission unless you were put into the right market. Not helped by many industry companies not wanting to work with Project resource...

I worked at Project Resource full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - For the extremely thick-skinned, there is a possible career there. - Regular holiday targets (which it turns out every other agency does too.....)

    Cons

    - Unbelievably aggressive firm. People are managed atrociously and broken down to either become robots or leave. Extremely high staff-turnover (which they deny) - people leave weekly! - Hell-bent on making money at the detriment of relationships. No quality of service provided and being found out. - Make you think that no world exists outside of the business. - Some employees seem to get favourable treatment, in particular...
