I have been working at Prometheus Research full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Kitchen is full of food Free Parking in downtown New Haven

    Cons

No proper documentation for new hires Amateur directors misleading job description no standard way to do things Still figuring out how to do things so if you are new and thinking someone will help you then forget it you have to have 40 billing hours a week and 50 hour work week high cost of living in northeast , however very poor compensation especially for 50 hour work week

    Advice to Management

If you are hiring for help desk position then please don't call it data analyst position Data Management is not same as providing help desk support Have proper on boarding process

I have been working at Prometheus Research full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Free food and parking!! NOTHING ELSE!!

    Cons

Terrible compensation, free food because taking lunch is frowned upon by management, negative working environment, HR of no assistance, sloppy work, lazy and unprofessional IT and BDev staff, lack of training, inexperienced staff and new hires, client privacy a major issue/concern, staff is told to do things the "Prometheus way" also known as the wrong way of doing things, markets are constantly changing,... backstabbing and "walking on pins and needles" environment, IT staff is unable to complete projects in a timely fashion or adhere to deadlines. I am looking forward to leaving this poor excuse for a company. They are always hiring because no one wants to work there!

    Advice to Management

Hold your IT and BDev management staff accountable for the terrible job they are doing, offer a real training program, and stress professionalism and client privacy. HIPAA compliance is NOT being followed.

I have been working at Prometheus Research full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

See the results of your efforts in a small company, direct communication with executive and management teams. Little to no politics and all feedback is professional and handled in a positive manner. Smart, enthusiastic co-workers who truly seem to like to work with each other. Generous paid time off starting year one and lots of company provided food (lunches, snacks and drinks).

    Cons

Smaller companies come with more limited/expensive benefits policies.

I have been working at Prometheus Research full-time

    Pros

The management team are smart, open-minded, and supportive. The staff are an energetic, fun, talented, hard-working, and diverse group. The business is growing through thoughtful and strategic planning, fueled by detailed research. The clients are people who work hard with passion to help people and improve the world around them. The people and the work make this a very satisfying place to be every day.

    Cons

The company is small but growing at a measured pace, adding only the best people. This means that sometimes there is a lot to do. But management listens and does what it can to make sure people don't get burned out or feel overburdened. This is not the place to work if you are not self-directed and motivated. Laziness and sloppy work will stick out like a sore thumb here.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing. Make sure to leave time in your schedule to be available to everyone on the team, because the people working here care. The more the company grows, the more your time will become more scarce for those impromptu conversations that make a small company special.

I have been working at Prometheus Research full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Company paid parking, free snacks and drinks. Other than that there are no pro's. Zero work life balance!

    Cons

Zero work life balance, Extremely low salaries, Poor/Incompetent Management, Client screw ups, No lunch breaks, Slave to work, Constant layoffs after employees are used and abused (which it appears as if company is always hiring), Continuously changing markets, No lunch breaks, Worst training program around (or lack there of)

    Advice to Management

Choose a market and stick with it. Also be sure to assess your management staff as there are constant knives in the back.

I have been working at Prometheus Research

    Pros

Great smart and friendly people to work with and nice perks. Plenty of stuff to do in the downtown New Haven area.

    Cons

Internal tools and processes need to be documented more. Besides that there are few cons.
